Dupage County would be hard to predict Cruz or Trump

Many years ago, I lived in DuPage County; and I once attended a sort of townhall meeting with the area's U.S. representative. Except for me, pretty much all the attendees were seniors who were only interested in one thing: Maximizing Social Security benefits.

North Carolina is a natural Rubio state

Rubio is in third place according to the polls in NC. Trump is leading by 9 over Cruz according to RCP.

Oh stop.

I love Kansas, I have family and life long friends there. They all agree it’s a nutty state.

Is there the slightest chance Richard Burr could be sent packing in his primary?

Carbondale / Jackson County are pretty lib. University town. Surrounding area moderately conservative.

Also interesting to see if Trump can do well with a jobs message in the Quincy area. It’s light blue, and not hurting “terribly” recently, but had horrendous job losses in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s, partially due to IL’s poor business climate.

So you think Cruz will win the North Shore?
IL would be a state that would be normally Trump v. Rubio. But with Rubio’s poor results- its unknown. I just can’t see Cruz gaining traction in Chicago or the suburbs- sans Wheaton College.

NC is Trump country, at least here in central NC. Obummer took NC in 2008 but 2012 went Romney.

Why would Rubio voters go to Cruz? Because they are both GOPe?

Dupage is probably the most Republican county in the state. Henry Hyde’s old territory.

Trump now joining Cruz in telling Rubio to leave the race. Hmmm...

Absolutely no surprise there. They both know Rubio isn't going to drop out, but they want to sow seeds of doubt in his supporters.

It is in everyone's interests that Rubio lose Florida. Cruz and Kasich would prefer Trump win it before Rubio.

Trump wants Rubio out so he can't compete in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey... states with large suburban population where he performs well.

Cruz wants/needs a one-on-one with Trump. A Florida loss ends Rubio's campaign.

Even Kasich wants Rubio out so he can be the establishment guy, providing he wins Ohio, which I think is likely.

Rubio is going to have a VERY large target on his back at the Florida debate.

More precisely: Cruz voted for TPA when it mattered and voted against it when it didn’t matter.

Being more precise: Cruz's vote for TPA didn't matter.

I guess Trump would do well in Rockford and Kane County. Cruz’s problem is that these are conservative voters without the heavy religious bend.

The biggest winner tonight is sadly the GOPe brokered convention plan. It is moving right along...

Dupage is probably the most Republican county in the state. Henry Hyde’s old territory.

When I lived there, most of us (where I worked) registered Republican no matter what we really were because there was no Democratic Party. The Dems were over in Cook County (i.e., Daleyland).

Cruz scores a 97 on Conservative Review.

now I DONT KNOW if that’s a reputable site or not, but that seems pretty good.
