Now that the New Republic is in the interregnum between its sale and its final takeover by the new owner, ultra liberal banking heir Winthrop McCormack, and incoming publisher, blueblood bolshevik Hamilton Fish V (not to be confused with the third or fourth), I guess the staff feels free for awhile to tread where none dare go before. And where the New Republic senior editor Jeet Heer went is just under the presidential zipper to the private parts. The supposed reasoning for this is to promote the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. See, by making us so disgusted by the discussion of presidential private parts, Heer hopes the public resolves this by electing someone without said parts, namely Hillary. The following is not for the squeamish but even if you do have a strong stomach I assure that you will still be completely grossed out by Heer's obsession:

Funny, I thought Bubbah’s presidency was all about not-so private parts. As I recall, it was the basis for his nickname, “the bent one.”
Well, Trump’s got us to where there is, as many people will see it, not enough difference to make a distinction. The Clintons, whom Trump funded and brought to his third wedding, are very sordid, unsavory, dangerous un-Americans. Sadly, we seem to be keen on taking a TV reality star whose personal life is not much better or different than the Clintons, and making him our nominee. He brags about adultery in his books. He swindles students with an unaccredited “university.” He employs illegal immigrants. He champions sending jobs abroad (link provided - https://web.archive.org/web/20061207071233/http://donaldtrump.trumpuniversity.com/default.asp?item=98255). He produces products in Communist China while ranting about the trade in balance with China. He ran a strip club (bankrupt despite his superior business acumen) and runs casinos despite being an exemplary Christian. Our hypocrisy is amazing. Now, we must accept Trump, his supporters say. Most of them used to be critics of Clinton, but now character doesn’t matter. Now, we are supposed to forget our principles and pretend that Bill’s pal Trump, a man whose been a conservative almost as long as Bruce Jenner’s been a woman, is a swell and true blue conservative.
The bitter truth is that Bully Hillary2016 is worse than BULLY Hillary2008. Once again Bully Hillary is mincing around getting schlonged.
