Ted Cruz takes early lead in Kansas Republican caucus
The Week ^ | March 5, 2016

Posted on 03/05/2016 12:49:39 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

In the Kansas Republican caucus, very early returns have Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas in the lead. With 3 percent of the results in, Cruz has 53 percent of the vote, followed by Donald Trump with 21 percent, John Kasich with 15 percent, and Marco Rubio with 10 percent. The Kansas Republican Party released a statement earlier Saturday, saying turnout across the state was "incredible," with some locations reporting "four of five" times the number of voters who came out in 2012. Republicans are also caucusing today in Kentucky and Maine, and holding a primary in Louisiana.

Also, for some on the outskirts of society, both “establishment” and “globalist” =

Cruz is now winning.

Ouch, I missed it. When has Cruz gotten the lead since the rigged Iowa caucus.

Trump supporter here

I would vote Cruz if he is the nominee

But I don’t know how that is going to work, if this goes to a brokered convention, Cruz or Trump will NOT be the nominee

Not sure. If Cruz was second, couldn't he tell the GOP to get behind him to beat The Donald or he would throw his support to Trump and put him over the top?

Cruz has already won Kansas today, and he is winning in Maine. And Cruz won 4 states before that, and he additionally beat Trump in Minnesota.

And your evidence that Iowa was rigged is that you got your feelings hurt when Cruz beat Trump in Iowa.

If Cruz does end up ... when all of the states are recorded... or when it’s certain who the nominee will be... and it is not Trump.. will Trump run a 3rd party? He wants to win... will he do that? Does he think he could win it that way? I can go with either Trump or Cruz.. but we can’t take any more democrats as President ... it can’t be hillary or bernie.. or any dem.

Yes there were crossover voters. MANY of them, and a Yuge amount of them were at the Trump rally.

As I stood in line waiting to vote provisional, several were in that line beside me as independant voters who were voting their choice.

It was confusing to ME because I didn’t think that was allowed, but apparently it was.

Some voters feared voting for Trump because they think it means the end of the world..no kidding!! They are afraid! What a shock that was.

Interesting that when liberals aren’t allowed to vote in our primary, suddenly the CONSERVATIVE IS WINNING.

Except they are allowed to vote in the general. As they did for Reagan.
