Maybe now some of Free Republic's critics of Erdogan will appreciate him more.

Well, a new city will be strictly Assad’s call.
He can decide where to put people as they return.

Anyone running from war in Syria needs to head toward Assad and Putin and pick up arms against the islam filth.

Anything else is just siding with the enemy.

How will he have any control over that area? Even Russia, his ally, told Assad to nix his call to get back the territory he lost?

Turkey has repeatedly sought to persuade its Western allies to help create a so-called safe zone inside Syria that could house Syrian refugees.

BWAAAAHAHAHA!

Basically, you think Assad has the right to force the United States to take all the people he doesn't want?

Right now, I think Assad doesn't have a lot of choices. He survived, and that's it.

So, you want those refugees in the U.S. Then take them in YOUR house.

I appreciate that he wants a captive market in Syria for food and fuel from Turkey - like he had before Syria liberated the area from him.

I am amazed by how many Freepers want Syrian refugees in the U.S. Why do you want them here?

Nothing I have ever said indicates that any nation has to allow Muslims leaving g the middle east into their country.

That sort of thinking may indeed be part of your thought process, but it is not part of mine.

They should all be shipped back and it should behoove them to support one side or another.

Whatever the Syrians do, let them and their allies do it in Syria.
It’s not the rest of the world’s business as long as they stay within their borders.

Most people do not find my position difficult to understand.

***************************************************************************
Have you lost your ability to think or understand the written word? I said absolutely NOTHING about bringing Muslims to the US. The Sunni Arab countries in the mid-East should take any Sunni refugees IMHO.

If you don’t want them to stay in Syria, then they are coming to the U.S. or Europe. It’s that simple.

Just pointing out the self-interest- which is only natural.
Also the self-interest he had in maintaining the terrorists in Syria.

The refugee camps should be housed and fed by Syria or they’ll be terrorist nurseries forever.

So if their national sovereignty means nothing to you, then ours does as well? You live by that NWO sword, you die by it!

I would contest your assertion. Syrian refugees should be in Syria.

As a matter of reality, if Syrian refugees aren't going to remain in there, then they will be coming to Europe and the U.S. You can make up other alternatives, but those options have no chance of happening.

What is your magical solution to the problem?

I think your own criticisms should be better directed at yourself. I think refugees in Syria... should remain in Syria. If you think thwy should be transported somewhere else (U.S. and Europe are the only two possible options) then maybe you are the NWO one.
