I posted the Our Father and the Hail Mary prayers as they are actually used in French. As such, a direct translation is not appropriate. Given that approximately 30% of English comes from French, I don't think that very many FReepers would have trouble figuring out what I posted.

FWIW - I am not a native Francophone. As a Tarheel transplanted into SE Georgia some might argue that Southern rather than English is my native language.

I learned as much about English studying French as I did about French. It certainly made learning computer languages much easier. Praying in a language other than the one you speak on a daily basis is wonderful for focusing the mind.
