But he is at 45% with 94% reporting

In order to reach 50% almost every single remaining voter would have to be for him. Not going to happen

It’s over for Cruz if Rubio and Kasich stay in

It's over for Trump if Rubio and Kasich drop out.

It's not 50% of the vote, it's 50% of the DELEGATES.

With 90% of precincts reporting he is at 45% to break 50% he’d have to take basically 60% of the remaining votes.

With 96% in now, it is over. No 50%.

Cruz won’t get to 50% in Idaho. With 94% of the vote in, he has 45% and change. Delegates will be awarded proportionally.

It is a statistical impossibility to raise him from 45% to over 50% with an additional 2% of the vote

Yep. I am really surprised by the Hawaii results. I hope it continues.

I guess it’s 50% of the delegates in Idaho, not the number of votes. That’s what he’s saying.

If that’s the case, Cruz is close to that number.

USA Today list the Idaho delegate count for Idaho as:

Cruz 14
Trump 10
Rubio 0

Stop lying on every thread!

If any candidate receives more than fifty percent (50%) of the total vote cast for all 10 candidates in the Republican presidential primary, all delegates available to Idaho under the 11 Rules of the Republican National Committee shall be apportioned to that candidate. Article VI - Section 3.c

The rule is NOT 50% of the delegates but 50% of the vote

“Trump won MS and MI, but Cruz won ID and will most likely win the delegate count for the night regardless of the result in HI.”

Common core math or wishful thinking?

With 97% reporting Cruz is at 45%. So your day dream is crushed

Cruz is hardly anti-establishment. He is all in on the “free trade” cult, which is the biggest money maker for the GOP and its masters. Cruz they can live with. Trump will hurt them bad.

Cruz is the ONLY anti establishment candidate in the race.

Donald Trump is and has been for decades part of the pay for play and favors political establishment culture that has ruined our country.

It just that Trump has been on the other side of the table paying bribes for the favors rather than being the corrupt politician providing the favors in return forth bribe.

I like Trump and will vote for him if Cruz loses, buts lets be honest with ourselves and others about who and what Donald Trump is before we vote for him.

>>Donald Trump is and has been for decades part of the pay for play and favors political establishment culture that has ruined our country.

The pay to play system existed long before Donald Trump. Politicians invented it. Businessmen have to live with it. So a career politician just thinks that it is “the way things have to be”, but a businessman sees it for what it is: a system where parasites steal money from people who earn it.

Yes, Trump plays the game, but he has not been the one standing there with his hand out, demanding tribute in exchange for getting the government out of his way. Career politicians are the villains in the pay to play system, not the businessmen.
