Donald Trump’s meat was the topic of social media chatter on Tuesday after his overwhelming victory in the Michigan and Mississippi primaries.
During a press conference held at his Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla., the GOP front-runner spent time touting what he said were his his name-brand line of Trump Steaks. The billionaire started the gourmet steak line in 2007 and sold it through Sharper Image.
But as some observers pointed out on Twitter, the filets Trump was serving up at the event came wrapped in packaging from a company not affiliated with the his business empire.
“Trump steaks. Where are the steaks? Do we have steak? We have Trump Steaks,” Trump said during a 30-minute victory speech given to a crowd made up largely of members of his golf club and the press.

Close-up photos of the steaks, however, show that they were wrapped in plastic bearing a non-Trump logo. The meat appeared to come from a West Palm Beach meat company called, ironically, Bush Brothers Provisional Company.
Sharper Image still features Trump Steaks on its online catalogue but notes that the meat line has been discontinued.
“Like Mr. Trump himself, ‘Trump Steaks’ were in a league of their own — USDA Prime Certified Angus Beef, flash frozen and shipped in a deluxe ‘presentation box,'” the Sharper Image entry reads, noting that “Unfortunately, Trump Steaks are no longer available, but their legacy endures.”
The Trump campaign did not return a request for comment about the meat mix-up. An Associated Press reporter on the ground in Jupiter wrote on Twitter that a campaign aide said that the steaks were from the Trump line. A photo from that reporter shows what appears to be Bush Brothers wrapping.

By the end of the day that meat-packing plant will be eagerly pitching a deal to him to rebrand their product as “Trump Steaks”.

If supporting Al Sharpton, the Clintons, Obama, the Democrat Party, amnesty, universal health care, eminent domain, gun control, Planned Parenthood, foreign workers, etc does not derail the Orange One then I fail to see his outright lying about steaks doing the trick.
