“He cannot get to the 1,237, so as a person that can’t get to 1,237, I agree with him, he should be saying exactly that,” Trump added. “The difference is I can get there.”

I wouldn’t bet on it, Donald.

Assume Cruz beats Trump by one vote but is short of the absolute majority needed to win outright.

What should happen?
Should Trump do whatever it takes to win the nomination?
Should he immediately concede the nomination to Cruz?

After you answer that do the following:

Assume Trump wins by that one vote instead of Cruz. Now what should happen.

I think he was always the backup for the Bush’s and Karl Rove if Marco support faded. This year we really do not have great candidates.
Trump will win but only because Clinton is openly a criminal.

The candidate with the most delegates going in should get the nomination, period. Any other course of action, especially one that seeks to lock out Trump, as Ted implies, is a complete disregard for the will of the people.

GOPe Ted strikes again.

At this point I am sad to say, a contested convention seems his only chance at securing the nomination.

Cruz: I'm fine with contested convention

I'm not.

Cruz is making it impossible to support him. He is clearly a purchased product. It’s no wonder the evangelicals who won’t drink GOP Kool-Aid are going to Trump.

There will be no contested convention.

If all of you Trump supporters know that there is a difference between a "brokered" convention and a "contested" convention, but you are still trying to tar Cruz with this, then you are dishonest.

If you don't know that there is a difference, educate yourselves.

If nobody gets 1237, then we will have a contested convention.

Are Trump supporter implying that even if Trump doesn’t get 1237, he should be automatically named the nominee anyway?

In that case why even had the rest of the primaries, just name him now and get it over with. Who needs this voting thing to get in the way.

I think it depends on the outcome of the contested convention. If no one gets the right amount of delegates who wins? If they are only few votes away...then the lead in delegate count should win.

But if they are a couple hundred votes away then what else are you going to do? It has to be a contested convention. Do I like it no...I’d rather have it be clear cut so no one can cry about it later. Now if they hand the nomination to someone like Kasich who has been lin last place the whole time...that would be outrageous. But if Trump teams up with Carson and then gets enough delegates then Trump wins. So be it.

Ted Cruz says he would have no problem with a contested convention over the summer in the event neither he nor Donald Trump secures enough delegates before then to lock up the Republican presidential nomination.

Dear Trump Supporters,

The headline is meant to deepen our divisions. Who wouldn't be in favor of the process playing out according to the rules in the event neither has the majority they need?

Please stop with the knee-jerk reactions to the MSM. It isn't helpful to either cause.

Two days ago, he said no. Sounds like he can be bribed. He’ll never beat Hillary. Partly because the media is owned by the Dems....partly because his experience in law might be fine, but in the Senate, he just kept a saying....but nothing was a happening.

Tricky Ted is in a tough spot, he wants to be on the GOP ticket but it doesn’t look like he’s gonna have the delegates to force the issue.

So he supports a contested convention in the vain hope the GOP establishment will give him their blessing as VP, then tries to sell that notion to the nominee.

Trump would be very wise to treat Cruz like the venomous snake he truly is.

A brokered convention means the Establishment wins. And Cruz is fine with that.

Cruz shows his true colors. FU Ted.

Did any of you knee jerkers even read ONE LINE of the post? It is 100% normal. Why do you think they have a minimum number to secure the nomination?
