Victorious Trump Calls for Party Unity
PJ Media ^ | March 9, 2016 | Walter Hudson

Can't we all just get along? Donald Trump didn't quite put it that way during a press conference addressing his primary victories on Tuesday, but that was the gist. The increasingly likely Republican nominee for president encouraged detractors within the party to get behind him. From Real Clear Politics:

"I say let's come together folks," Trump said Tuesday night. "We're going to win. I say let's come together... Some people you are just not going to get along with. It's okay."

"I am a unifier," Trump said in Jupiter, Florida tonight. "I unify. You look at all of the things I built all over the world. I'm a unifier. I get along with people. I have great relationships...

It's yet to be seen whether Trump's professed unifying skills will have any effect upon the unprecedented #NeverTrump movement. The sheer number of Republicans who have pledged to oppose Trump, spanning from the so-called establishment to the deepest grassroots, presents an electoral liability that will have to be negated. Either Trump will somehow win them back, or he will have to compensate by bringing over blue collar Democrats attracted to his positions on immigration and trade.

Trump’s best option is to transform the GOP into the party of the little guy.

Its idiot blockheads keep ignoring and dissing their most faithful voters.

The GOP is long overdue for a shakeup.

Be unified. Or else.

There will never be unity behind Trump. He puts a lot of people off with his nastiness, his smearing his opponents with lies and inchoherent ramblings.

I am Cruz supporter. Early on I was open to a Trump nomination if it wasn’t going to be Cruz. Not now. The man showed his true colors when he insulted and lied about Ben Carson and then Ted Cruz.

Now I see Trump as no different NY Democrat who will lie and say anything to get elected. I will never vote for him. Never.

Like a guy who raped your wife, killed your dog and evicted your mother and after he’s arrested says can’t we all be friends.

That's some equivalency you got going on there, almost biblical, you're a Cruz booger, aren't ya?

North Korea has a colorful leader in Kim Jong Un. But a few ultraconservatives want to stop Donald Trump and prevent the United States from having a colorful leader too.

When Trump emphasizes free trade, he appropriately stresses equitable free trade, win/win trade in other words.

H O W E V E R …

When Trump calls for party unity, he needs to likewise stress the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers imo, which he is not doing. His supporters need to get him up to speed on the fed’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

“Trump is out front with his Attacks . . .”

I can see why you say that. I would have to say the way he attacked the face of Carly to her face was out front. Well, he did back off and say he never said it.

And I would have to say he was straight forward in attacking George W. Bush about 9/11. Well, he might have been a little vague about the grounds for impeachment.

And Trump is straight forward about attacking companies that move jobs to China. Well, he is a little vague about why he moved jobs to Red China.

Trump was straight forward in court attacking the neighbor whose home he wanted the government to condemn for his limo parking lot. Well, he was straight forward until he denied doing it.

And Trump is real out front in saying he will have Mexico build the wall. At least he is out front when he's in a rally. What he tells the New York Times in secret, behind closed-door campaign meetings - - who knows???

But Trump says out loud that he says exactly what he means. And he sincerely wants you to believe it.

It’s pretty obvious that Trump has not studied the constitution. Maybe Hillsdale College could send him a correspondence course.

Carson has endorsed Trump.

I feel the same way about Cruz that you feel about Trump.
Cruz was a far distant second choice for me. I liked Cruz’s values but didn’t think he had the experience or the economic understanding to be President. But then Cruz lied about Trump, with his negative advertising in Iowa. There went the one thing going for him,.

It’s going to come down to Trump vs Hillary. I’m not asking you to like Trump. But take an objective look at what Trump can and will do vs what Hillary can and will do.

“... Well, he is a little vague about why he moved jobs to Red China...”

Trump has been vague about why he moved production jobs to Red China, but he has been straightforward that some of his clothing is made in China. And Mexico.

Every item of foreign manufactured clothing that Trump profits from is a price signal to the U.S. economy - move production out of the U. S. That means move production jobs.

Trump’s sweat shop manufactured clothing line undercuts American workers. That’s what the debate has been about for decades. What Trump has been getting wealthy doing is what he says he will stop others from doing in the future.

You must believe him. I do not.
