Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
CBN News ^ | March 10, 2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 6:23:01 AM PST by VitacoreVision

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

Actually, you just made his point. Gonna make Cruz pay in the general by stayin home or voting for shrillary.

It’s not like that reaction will finish destroying this country and probably western civilization or anything.

Cruz also takes Trumps comments about doing well with both the highly educated and the poorly educated out of context.

I used to really like Cruz. I still admire him for his record as an attorney and a Senator.

But his teaming up with Glenn Beck and Neil Bush is troubling.

Notice how Cruz has not disavowed Beck calling Trump a NAZI or Beck saying he wanted to stab Trump. Or Neil Bush saying he could not support Trump. Or the so called conservatives who say they will support Clinton or Sanders over Trump.

Well, gee Ted—I’ve been inclined toward Trump, but was equally happy with the prospect of either of you winning the nomination.

I guess, though, you’d be embarrassed to have a low information, un-engaged guy like me voting for you, so I’m gonna go all in for The Donald.

But, before I go, please explain to me why you establishment types reflexively insult the people for whom you work.

Ciao, a$$hole.

More insults from the guy with all the principles.

Why would anyone expect any different.

The last time some junior Senator who was a Harvard lawyer with a questionable citizenship talked like that we got Obama. Different party, same attitude.

Honestly?

I’d LOVE to see the GOP destroyed, and something new built in its place. I’d LOVE to see the Reince Priebuses and Paul Ryans and Mitch McConnells and Steve Schmidts no longer have an organisation to use to project power.

That’s not nihilist. It’s constructionist. You can’t build a beautiful new skyscraper until you first tear down the decaying tenements occupying the spot.

Wow...it's one thing to have the media and talking heads to insult us that are supporting Trump, but to have a ‘constant conservative’ such as Ted ‘Canadian’ Cruz come out and call us ‘low information’ voters....well that doesn't set to well...

I said right from the beginning there was something wrong in Denmark with Cruz, it's taken a few months to figure it out, but you put a ‘phony’ backed in a corner with no way out and then you really get to see what they are made of...

First he lies, then he pals around with Glenn Beck, and now it's the Bush-Clinton Crime Families and Snarly Carly...and wow what do you know: ‘Establishment’ written all over the ‘phony’ from head to toe...

Canada, please come and get your favorite son and take him back, since Trump has the largest voting block of any of the candidates, we don't want him here in America, he's not legal to be running for POTUS and that's why Trump tried to let us know about him, and boy have we ever found out about him!!!

“...it’s interesting, his location he does well in the southeast. He does well with a certain demographic of voter.”

Meaning: Cruz is saying that Southerners are stupid.

And this man is supposed to be brilliant.

At least he’s aware that he’s attacking the voters. Others seem to think they are attacking a candidate but they’re really attacking the voters and the democratic process.

Not good, bit I think Trump did the same thing when he said he wouldn't give and federal land back to the states because you can't trust them to take care of it.

So, he “allegedly” said the same thing that Trump said about Iowa voters?

And the trumpeters are all pissy about it, now?

Ok, got it.

Hypocrisy much, guys?

They are more like largemouth bass. They strike at the lure disturbing the surface and putting a sparkle in their eye. They just don’t pay attention to all the hooks and line awaiting to tow them into their demise.

It’s time for the Cruzers to face facts - Ted Cruz is as much of an establishment hack as the rest of the losers in DC are.

Which candidate has the largest crowds? Whose supporters are most committed? Whose supporters fight the lines and crowds for hours to support their candidate?

Not engaged? Lyin Ted strikes again.

I think Cruz is wrong about the engaged part but right about the ‘low information’ part, even if not strong enough.

It’s not that the Trupettes don’t know much, even though that’s true, it’s that so much of what they do know is wrong.

Given the level of ignorance and self delusion rampant among the Trump supporters, it would be far preferable if they weren’t so engaged.

That so many non-Democrats ould be attracted to an unrepentant statist buffoon has come as a shock to me, and makes me fear for the future.
