Sen. Rand Paul Still Not Going to Endorse Anyone (What a sore loser)
Townhall.com ^ | March 9, 2016 | Christine Rousselle

Posted on 03/10/2016 9:42:24 AM PST by Kaslin

Appearing on Kennedy tonight for the first time since suspending his campaign for president, former GOP presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul refused to endorse any of the remaining candidates for presidency. Paul said that he planned on "stay(ing) out of the race" for the time being and would endorse the eventual party nominee.

When pressed on the issue, Paul declined to endorse anyone outside of the Republican party either, saying that he had "said his piece."

Paul is one of few former 2016 candidates who has not yet endorsed a candidate. Earlier on Tuesday, Carly Fiorina endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Apparently PAUL is waiting for TRUMP or CRUZ to pick him as VP.

Seems reasonable. If you don’t like any candidates don’t endorse them.

He’s running for his reelection as junior senator from Kentucky. He can’t be both.

Not only that, but there seem to be a sizeable crowd that condemns candidates based on who endorses them. Paul may well think that any endorsement he gives might actually hurt that candidate.

I respect Paul even though he wasn't my first choice.

Ron Paul did the same thing when he had to drop out in the 2012 election. He did not endorse anyone either

[He’s running for his reelection as junior senator from Kentucky.]

That explains it, he doesn’t want to alienate his base.

Senator Paul, is your refusal to endorse going to be extended to the general election as well?

He doesn’t owe anyone an endorsement. That amounts to telling everyone who you will be voting for and that’s YOUR business.

Sean Hannity’s endorsement if it ever comes as he promised would bring more votes than Sen. Paul’s.

Paul is a lightweight, and is lucky to be a Senator at all.

I respect him as well because though I may disagree at times I know he is principled in his beliefs.

I don’t blame him. I am not all that enraptured with any of the remaining candidates either. The frontrunner is a lunatic, Cruz is not all that appealing to me, Rubio ran before his time and Kasich would be a better VP. My only hope this year is Trump wins, has an extremely competent VP and resigns when he realizes he has no ability to govern (probably about two days into his term). The Republicans are once again showing how easy it is for them to miss a layup.

Paul already did a hit on Trump with the KKK thing. Bet he wishes he could take that back.

Trump will not forget...

Probably the only topic about which Paul has no opinion.

Nothing in that indicates “sore loser”. Maybe he has said something elsewhere...I don’t know...but that? Horrible title.

The Republicans have treated him pretty badly.

I don't blame him.

Maybe not to you, but it does to me.

I was turned of by Rand Paul when he announced already in 2013 that he was running for the Office the President of the United States, and he forced the KY legislature to change the rule, so he could run for his reelection as senator. I hope the voters in Kentucky will send him permanently back to Bowling Green.
