Had his intent been only to expose what you claim makes him a hero, he would not have need to take the other 90%, nor would he have fled to China then to Russia where he turned over that 90%. He would have instead gone to Congress and blown the whistle - there are many law firms that specialize in protecting whistle blowers; he would have been just fine.

No, the FBI will carefully hoard access to NSA raw data. They will use it for criminal prosecutions. And they will use it to suppress dissent. This is the 100% universal lesson of history. Laughable. And nothing wrong with what he did. It was all deeply intertwined. No way to separate out that the US government was illegally spying domestically. And the death camps were easily less than 10% of the work of the German military. Most of what Benedict Arnold did was very solid work.
