Donald Trump is the only Republican candidate with a realistic chance of winning the 1,237 delegates necessary to claim the partys presidential nomination, according to a POLITICO analysis.
A close examination of demographics, polling, and delegate allocation rules in the remaining states suggests there is a path for Trump to win a majority of delegates, but it is a tightrope walk that leaves the businessman with little margin for error.
The outlook for his rivals is grim there is almost no way they can get to the magic number.
Barring major upsets in Florida and Ohio next week, Ted Cruz will need to win approximately 70 percent of the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination outright. That essentially makes Cruzs path to 1,237 as unlikely as Marco Rubios route.

We are going to win so much that you will be tired of winning. - Donald Trump
Im not tired yet. ;-)
GO TRUMP!
The American people know that a wrecking ball is what’s needed for most of FedGov.
DT jr is exactly right...
That’s why GOPe is running scared...
I hope he gets the delegates but Trump wrote The Art of the Deal. It would be the deal of a lifetime..the pressure, the stakes..it would be a spectacle and his ultimate challenge
Worth saving for this map alone: How the delegates are allocated
A vote for Kasich is a wasted vote. He has won no primaries outright, and has too few delegates to ever win this election.
A vote for a Kasich victory in Ohio will not change the outcome and deny Mr.Trump winning the nomination, but it will make Kasich a spoiler.
The longer this contentious election goes on the more it raises everyone’s negatives, making beating Hillary more difficult. It makes uniting behind Mr. Trump less likely because the candidates he beats and their supporters are going to be more Butthurt.
The Establishment is not going down without a fight.
Look for them to call an audible at the line of scrimmage on Rule 40.
Start packing for Cleveland. Bring your pitchforks.
