“It isnt helpful to blast Raphael Cruz, it isnt helpful to berate Christians of most any stripe. “
THIS??? THis is what I wrote:
“Please, tell Rafael Edward Cruz, who has MADE IT PUBLIC.”
YOU consider THAT a BLAST? It’s a fact, no BLAST...I am happy to show you a BLAST!
I was referring to TED...RAFAEL EDWARD CRUZ is HIS NAME.
He used in at Harvard when he started up the “Latino Review”

What I am saying is that it is revolting to ATTACK another person’s private faith. No way do I think there is anything noble about keeping one’s faith in the closet. Do you? Do you have faith? If so, are you ashamed of your own beliefs?

Drudge is paying Cruzers back for last night’s attempt to rig the poll with 80,000 bogus votes. Enjoy Cruzers.

Spirit-filled Christians. We need more of them. Not sure about the “dominion” doctrine of Cruz’s dad, but I’ve also heard or read that Ted has distanced himself from his dad’s questionable “dominion” or “reconstructionist” doctrines.
The move of God today in the church is restoration, especially the restoration of grace as prophesied in Jude’s exhortation to the church in Jude 3 - restoration of the the gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You mean what by that? Christ is stupid? Salvation is stupid? People who believe are stupid?

There was a time in this country on this website when this would have been a non-story (or would actually have been seen as a positive). Fixed it for you

I actually didn't say you had berated anyone, sorry about not knowing you weren't referring to Ted's dad.
I stand by my post, I don't think it's wise to berate Christians of most any stripe. If you don't do so, don't take offense.
Vote Trump!

“When he is going to make policy that is going to impact my life, and makes a point to RUN on it, how is this any different from an Imam who plans to run in 20 years?”
Comes now the conservative who draws the moral equivalency of Christianity to Islam.
I rebuke you.
To: TornadoAlley3
Its ok to pray for anyone, including Trump. Obviously Cruz cant get the delegates needed. I’m a christian but some christians or church goers, like anyone else can be very uninformed voters.

Funny, I remember when a bunch of pastors laid hands on Trump and prayed for him, Trump supporters were just fine with it.

If they arent chopping off heads, it is neither your nor my business. A mans faith is personal. Correct. The general tenets of the faith are more important than the details.
That was my opinion regarding Romney, a Mormon.
As far as I'm aware, Mormons practice the teachings of Christ, for the most part.
The fact that they additionally believe in some star or planet "Kolob", etc., was not of earth-shattering importance to me, even though its basis might seem quite questionable.
However, if someone were, say, a practicing Satanist, I'd have a problem with their general moral code. So in that instance, even if they weren't chopping off heads, it would be my business if I was considering voting for such a person to hold a position of power within government...

Could we just step back several decades to an America where a leading AME Bishop, who also happened to be an Ohio State Legislator, was invited to deliver the Address at a 100th Anniversary Celebration of our nation's
Declaration of Independence. The following is a small excerpt from Bishop Benjamin Arnett's lengthy tracing of world and U. S. history
"Withdraw from Christendom the Bible, the Church with its sacraments and ministry, and Christian morality and hopes, and aspirations for time and eternity; repeal all the laws that are founded in the Christian Scriptures; remove the Christian humanities in the form of hospitals and asylums, and reformatories and institutions of mercy utterly unknown to unchristian countries; destroy the literature, the culture, the institutions of learning, the art, the refinement, the place of woman in her home and in society, which owe their origin and power to Christianity; blot out all faith in Divine Providence, love, and righteousness; turn back every believer in Christ to his former state; remove all thought or hope of the forgiveness of sins by a just but gracious God; erase the name of Christ from every register it sanctifiesin a word annihilate all the legitimate and logical effects of Christianity in Christendomjust accomplish in fact what multitudes of gifted and learned minds are wishing and trying to accomplish by their science, philosophy, and criticism, and what multitudes of the common people desire and seek, and not only would all progress toward and unto perfection cease, but not one of the shining lights of infidelity would shine much longer. Yes, the bitterest enemies of this holy and blessed religion, owe their ability to be enemies to its sacred revelations - to the inspiration and sublimity of that faith which reflects its glories on their hostile natures. They live in the strength of that which they would destroy. They are raised to their seats of opportunity and power by the grace of Him they would crucify afresh; and is it to be thought that they are stronger than that which gives them strength? Can it be supposed that a religion which civilizes and subdues, and elevates and blesses will succumb to the enmities it may arouse and quicken in its onward march? Are we to tremble for the ark of God when God is its upholder, and protector, and preserver? - Dr. Benjaming W. Arnett, St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Urbana, Ohio, Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon, November 1876. Arnett's "Sermon" is available in the "Library of Congress - Historical Collections" - "African-American Pamphlets from the Daniel A. P. Murray Collection," 1820-1920; American Memory, Washington, DC.

Funny, I remember when a bunch of pastors laid hands on Trump and prayed for him, Trump supporters were just fine with it. DUH! That was Trump.
Hey, he also gives plenty of money to clergy. Unfortunately, that person is Al Sharpton. I guess you can't win them all.

I posted this on another thread but believe it is relevant here.
As a Trump supporter and evangelical I can tell you that seeking in tongues is a real experience, One that cannot be explained unless one has experienced it, it is a very peaceful feeling
I will never look down on anyones religion and maybe the experience of having spoken in tongues actually makes me more acceptable of others religious experiences they cannot put in words.
My religion is very important to me but it is not my ONLY reason for voting for or against a candidate. Do I believe Trump could ever realize my religious experience, no. Do I believe I can ever truly understand the feeling the survivors of death camps had or have, NO. Do I believe I can truly understand the feeling those who were subject to segregation felt, No.
Do I believe a person who grows up in an urban area can truly understand the experience of growing up is a small family community oriented environment, No.
I support Trump and am unapologetic for that support.
