Yes; that statement can be interpreted in so many ways. I took it one way; my sister took it another. Pretty funny.

First, I don't think "mitigates" means what you think it means.

Second, I said that the protesters are wrong to deny Trump his say.

Finally, this is yet another dodge of the real issue that no Trump supporters want to address, namely, he LIKES the hostility. I've read others here (Trump supporters) say precisely that in an admiring way. I've mentioned several instances above that support that idea and there are several more. And now this just this morning " TRUMP to @MeetThePress' @ChuckTodd: "I've instructed my people to look into" paying legal fees for man who threw suckerpunch on Thurs". Now if you don't consider that an affirmative support of thuggishness then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Ask yourself why he hasn't given a full-throated denouncement of violence on both sides then ask yourself if he still deserves your vote. And if you answer yes, ask yourself what that says about you.

That is utterly irrelevant, as is his offer to pay someone's legal fees.

We already have laws governing the use of force in this country. They're very stable, and they make sense without violating the majoritarian sense of justice.

Nothing Trump has said or done violates those principles or laws.

So the title of the article has no relationship to what is actually in the article. It is amazing to watch the Trump supporters falsely claim that Cruz supported the BLM protesters. Earth to Trumpkins - just because someone calls out Trump for his rhetoric doesn’t mean they support the other side. It is not “either-or” - many of us, including Rubio, Cruz, me and others, oppose the BLM protesters for their violence AND oppose Trump for encouraging his supporters to engage in violence.

The old joke about the woman that would sleep with the party guest for a million dollars, but wouldn't sleep with him for fifty comes to mind.

if Ted Cruz cant place the blame where it belongs and stand up against Ayers/Dohrn, Black Lives Matter, La Raza and all other leftist hate groups

He did, as the first thing he said: "Now, the responsibility for that lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands." He was tone-deaf to leave it at that - but this Cruz-blames-Trump meme going around is ignorant at best and deliberate disinformation at worst.

Ted Cruz said what he said.

Thanks for the tautology. What is it you think he said?

It was the epitome of weak, and reeked of naked opportunism. The only proper response to having peaceable campaign rallies attacked by organized groups of extremist "progressives", it to repudiate it in the strongest of terms.

Overheated spin aside, I agree that he should have said more about the protesters.

That omission

What "omission"?

and lack of emphasis speak volumes.

And what exactly do you hear them saying? Why so coy?

I blame Cruz and his #1 supporter Glenn Beck that claimed he would continually stab Trump if he got near him.

The fasting and stabbing will continue until Cruz wins!
