Hillary Clinton On Protests Of Trump: 'Play With Matches, You're Going To Start A Fire You Can't Control'

By KURTIS LEE, March 12, 2016

Democrats offered strong condemnation of Donald Trump on Saturday, pointing to his caustic rhetoric as the igniter of unrest between his supporters and detractors.

Hillary Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic nomination, said at a campaign appearance in St. Louis on Saturday that Trump's "divisive rhetoric ... is wrong and it's dangerous." "If you play with matches, you're going to start a fire you can't control. That's not leadership," she said. "That's political arson. The test of leadership and citizenship is the opposite. If you see bigotry, oppose it. If you see violence, condemn it. And if you see a bully, stand up to him." On Friday, Trump canceled a planned rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago as protesters and his supporters confronted one another on the streets and inside the arena where the event was to be held. The fracas was the culmination of months of tensions between Trump supporters and smaller groups of protesters at his rallies, where Trump has urged his backers to defend themselves and said he even wanted to punch protesters himself.

That is a veiled threat by Hillary; this is war. How can anyone deny this anymore.

That’s not what Presidential contenders do.
That's just the part of the ongoing, escalating problem that needs to stop...NOW!

It's not what they do but IT IS WHAT THEY BETTER START DOING.

Cleveland rally is over - 29K at the rally 25K on the RSBN live stream. So Trump is over 100K with one rally left.

Agreed. Trump is now being subjected to mob violence all with the support of “main stream” Democrats and Republicans (Who some label the “Uniparty.”)

As anyone Trump supporter other then that one older man punch or otherwise abuse a anti-Trump protester? I haven’t heard about it. And verbally disagreeing with them doesn’t count.

Probably. There have been tens of thousands of people at a score or more rallies. MSNBC interviewed a couple of protesters who were escorted out of the Dayton venue today. One of them said he was handled thoroughly professionally, total non-issue, and another one said that a Trump supporter interfered with him videoing his own exit, stepped on his foot and punched him in the ribs.

And if one took a complete accounting, I would wager that there have been instances of "unwelcome contact" starting in the other direction too.

I think Hillary’s campaign coordinated this with Cruz’s.

If you do not know that there are serious disputes about the blame assigned to Lewandowski, you are desperately uninformed.

If you do know, yet still espouse this line, you are malignant.

Which is it?

The Republican part of the Republicrat Party is naïve; they don’t understand they are going to see the same attacks on ANY candidate in November - even if they toe the Democrat part’s line on such sacred cows as affirmative action, “gay marriage”, open borders, more money for public school teachers, etc. etc. etc.
