I almost feel sorry for Ted.

For a long time he seemed like he could have been a real contender and at least come out with a Veep spot, nominated for SCOTUS, or appointed to a key position.

Now I wonder if he’ll even get reelected as Senator.

Cruz certainly has removed the mask and what it shows is not pretty. A convenient conservative.

I don’t feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for his children and even for his wife, but he’s a career politician with an agenda that doesn’t involve patriotism.

Should be a lesson for all sides — stay away from first term Senators who run for the presidency instead of doing their senatorial jobs.

I don’t. Sucks to be him. Same with Beck.

I know. Sad, isn’t it? He was doing all the right things, but what’s down in the well comes up in the bucket, as JC Watts used to say.

...

He just won Texas so I’d say it’s possible. But he’s shown that he’ll do a deal with the devil and drop his principles when the pressure’s on.

Ha. Let’s see. He’s in second place in a field of 17 and won his home state. I think he’ll be alright.

Teddy will be primaried. And I intend to double what I contributed to his campaign for President to his opponent in the primary.

I don’t like being fooled.

I’ve been saying EXACTLY the same. He seems to have completely fallen apart, and even his Senate career is in doubt, as he has DEMONSTRATED to the country why so many Senators seem to hate his guts.

Very sad. The only people here left supporting Cruz are the paid operatives from the other campaigns and the Superpacs. He has REALLY TURNED OFF people that had tremendous respect for him...which includes me. One of the fastest collapses that I’ve ever seen for someone elected to such a high office. He’s up for re-election in 2018...I sure as hell hope we don’t lose that seat.

If someone does the right things and still has a difficult time or comes in last then i may feel sorry for them. but when someone is a lying sack 24/7, shows no sense of compassion for a fellow competitor who has been threatened regardless of the “politics as usual dialog” but rather jumps in with more antagonistic words, slams the first amendment but still claims to be “the only real conservative” in the race....well...no...i don’t think i’d ever feel bad for this scum. he can rot. i can’t wait to see him lose state after state.

First, Cruz will never be VP. I doubt Trump will ask and Cruz will never agree to be VP if asked. Cruz will never want to be associated with violent Trump, a most divisive politician.

Second, Ted is very popular in Texas if no where else. Cruz beat Trump by over 500,000 votes in Texas, so yes, Cruz will live again as a senator from Texas for as long as he wants it.

You crazy Trump bots crack me up. Say, who just totally ANNIHILATED Donald Trump in the Wyoming caucuses with the highest margin of victory in the GOP primaries this year? Yup. Ted Cruz. Trump is on track to get clobbered in Ohio by Kasich as well.

If Dan Patrick gets in Cruz will have a hard time beating him. Even more so against our gov Greg Abbet.
