Voters Slam Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio for Blaming Chicago Rally Shutdown on Donald Trump
Breitbart ^ | March 13, 2016 | Katie McHugh

Posted on 03/13/2016 3:09:35 PM PDT by Innovative

Supporters of Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) took to social media to slam the freshman senators for blaming leftists shutting down a Trump Chicago rally on GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.

“I think a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment, when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence — to punch people in the face. The predictable consequence of that is that it escalates and today is unlikely to be the last such instance. We earlier today in St. Louis over thirty arrested. That’s not how our politics should occur,” Cruz said Friday. “You know, the City of Chicago in 1968 saw some ugly days when politics descended into hatred and incivility and even violence and it is my hope that in 2016 that we can appeal to our better angels and avoid going down that road once again.”

Cruz supporters, incensed by the Texas senator’s blame game, stormed social media to express their anger. Top comments on a Friday Facebook post promoting a Cruz “victory fund” drew furious responses.

Of these three little quislings, the slimiest by several orders of magnitude has to be Tricky Ted, aka lyin’ Ted, aka the Constitutionally INELIGIBLE, Calgary Anchor Baby. BTW, in addition to being facially ineligible to be President, Tricky Ted may well be Constitutionally INELIGIBLE to be a US Senator, on the presumption that he was a Canuckistanian until 2014!!!!!!! Hey Tricky Ted, you lying little quisling, when are you going to make public your immigration file??? Hey Tricky - get the F out of the way and let a true patriot get on with more important matters than squashing little bugs like you and Foam Boy.

I an very very disappointed that Ted didn’t defend Donald Trump’s First Amendment rights. That was HIS meeting and he had every right to defend HIS crowd against these well organized Soros thugs, no matter what he said! Time to quit being nice, guys!

You haven't seen my FB page. People I know who posted pro-Cruz messages have now gone for Trump. I was amazed. People said they realize he is just another politician.

It’s not even really about Trump. Cruz refused to defend the Americans at the rally. He condemned them like the National Review would. He is against us.

When the goons start violently protesting at Cruz rallies, we’ll be seeing endless loops of Cruz’ comments.

He didn’t say anything about Stabby Beck either. Everything is okay in the Ted Universe when it is against Trump.

"It’s not even really about Trump. Cruz refused to defend the Americans at the rally. He condemned them like the National Review would. He is against us."

For any low-information voters who may care to hear/read some facts for a change, try the following though I'm sure facts are irrelevant when they don't support your agenda.

"Partial transcript as follows:

STEPHANOPOULOS: We’ve seen these extraordinary scenes at the Trump rallies. And — and you’ve said that the Trump campaign affirmatively encourages the violence. So to be clear, you believe Mr. Trump is encouraging this violence?

CRUZ: Well, let’s be clear. First of all, the protesters were in the wrong. When you come up and — and you use violence, you engage in violence, you threaten violence, and when you try to shut — shut down and shout down speech, that — that’s not what the First Amendment allows. The First Amendment gives every one of us the right to speak, but not to disrupt others. Uh, but — but I think, also, in any campaign, the responsibility starts at the top. And — and it is not beneficial when you have a candidate like — like Donald Trump, who’s telling his protesters, punch that guy in the face. You know, I mean I don’t think you should be encouraging people to violence.

And — and I think beyond that, you know, we need a — a candidate who respects the people, who engages even — who even engages the protesters with civility and respect, not with hostility. I — I think — you know, what I would appeal to for every candidate is — is decency and civility, that we can disagree and we can disagree forcefully while still respecting each other and — and not engaging in insults and vulgarity and — and not encouraging — encouraging violence.'

Cruz supporter here but will vote for Trump if he is the nominee.
