He made one comment- or I should say lack of a comment- to a caller today that showed me he really has not bothered to learn anything about Trump. The caller suggested that maybe the whole Chicago rally was a setup- in other words here’s Trump, holding a rally smack dab in the middle of enemy territory, and did he know it would go south and then he ends up with millions of dollars worth of airtime. So Rush says oh I don’t know really? do you think that? So when Rush doesn’t have an answer, he sets it up so he can go either way later.

The fact is, what Trump did may have been daring (having a rally in Chicago), but Trump wants to talk to everybody, he wants to reach all the voters. What Trump has an uncanny ability to do- is to make lemonade out of lemons. His strategy is to always create a path to a win. Imagine that with congress and the government? Imagine that with other countries? A guy who is very smart, and who consistently works for a good and successful outcome.

THAT is what Rush should have known.

That he turned what could have been an epic fail- protesters shutting down his rally- and turns it into a prime time broadcast rally and the MSM is running it for free. And we get beautiful videos like the black Trump supporter arguing with the BLM people saying he wants a job and house, not a handout, he wants to work, etc etc. What better ad for Trump?

Everything you say is very true, and I would add that Trump will go anywhere and will not give into fear. If you managed to see that Dayton thing on Sat morning - he was about to charge at the guy when the SS flew up on stage and took hold of him. I believe in such unguarded moments you see what people are really made of ... it's distressing to think about what Cruz would have done.

I think Rush has lost touch with reality. He is so desperate for Cruz to win he has lost sight of the fact that there isn’t really anywhere else for Cruz to win after tomorrow.

I don’t think it’s over if Cruz doesn’t win tomorrow, here’s why:

Rubio is probably going to lose FL - Trump wins
I think Cruz can sweep the other states delegates, IF Rubio and Kasich get out
The race is tightening in OH between Trump, Kasich and Cruz.
A win in OH for Kasich means he stays in...because he’s so delusional
Cruz might win NC, and he could win IL, he was within the margin of error of 9% and the margin of error range, so far, has been 25% and even 31%
If Cruz would take Missouri - 2 out of 3 are closed, which is where he does better.
IF Kasich and Rubio get out by Thursday, in a head to head, polls show 61 to 39, Cruz over Trump
Then Cruz could sweep the rest of the delegates
If Kasich gets out...history shows, establishment will back Cruz (like they did Reagan), seeing him as the winner.
They’re pretty sure Cruz is the end of their game, but it keeps the GOP in tact and gives them a reverb. But Trump takes the GOP out completely. The devil you know, is better than the one you don’t know. They look at Trump and don’t know where he’s going - possibly fascism, but with Cruz, they know and they can at least strategize their game. But Trump could be a completely different man after elected. When they saw Reagan was going to win, even though Dole and the others were saying the same things about him, they are saying now about Cruz, until they saw he was gonna get the nomination, then they joined on with him. The establishment is going to Cruz, and he’s not asking them to...so they are coming on HIS terms. Historically that is exactly what happened with Reagan, and that is the final thruster that pushed Reagan into office. He said it’s going to look like a misfire tomorrow, but it might just be the rocket that will set Cruz off. IF Kasich and Rubio leave and if they don’t win their home states, there is on path for them at all.

Rush is dumber than I thought. Does he really think the establishment is going to give it to Cruz? Right now Cruz is a useful tool to them to keep both of them from getting the required delegates.

RushRINO should change his theme song to “Pretzel Logic” the way he twists reality to fit his agenda,

btw, THE best version of “Pretzel Logic” featuring the great Drew Zing on guitar.

Plus Cruz does better in caucuses than primaries, and there are only 2 caucuses after tomorrow.

Rush et al, have big sponsor$ to worry about. The reality is they’re the mouthpiece for establishment hacks. Way back when El Rushbo did his sleepover in a Bush White House, ya just knew something was starting to reek really bad. Limbaugh went on for years barely mentioning the country was literally being overrun and being invaded by millions illegally. Nope, back then it was all about golf, football, and feminizes. The lawless violent border were all but off El Rushbo’s radar. Most in the southwest U.S. were very aware of Rush’s avoidance of this epic lawlessness way back then. It was glaring.

When you listen to and watch Trump, I think it gives you added understanding how much this elite conservative media lives in a bubble just like the gopE and MSM. Trump has spent lots of time with construction workers, engineers, gotten his hands dirty. And apparently loves all that. That is the connector for the love affair America is having with him right now. I for one think it's a very strong love. didn't mean to get all gushy, you know how we personality cult members are. :)

I think this is the way the primaries will go:

-Trump wins every remaining state east of the Mississippi (except for Ohio), the states right on the west coast, Arizona, and New Mexico. All of these except for NM are blowouts.
-Cruz wins the rest of the Rocky Mountain/Great Plains states and Missouri, although Missouri is rather close between him and Trump.
-Kasich wins Ohio and nothing else.
-Rube-o wins no other states and commits seppuku.

Shouldn’t that be enough to avoid a brokered convention going by the current GOP rules? I’m sure they’ll suddenly change the rules regardless of the primary results, but if they do that when Trump clearly won they will be even further marginalized.

The more Rush embraces Cruz the less I listen to him. He’s becoming a sellout.

He knows Cruz can’t win. He just wants people to keep voting Cruz so Trump can’t get the delegates.

Rush says he doesn’t want a brokered convention, but I think he really does.

Is that the journalistic equivalent of "Some people say..."

Interviewer: ..."some people say ...

Interviewee: Who? Who says ... ?

If the person being interviewed would simply challenge the interviewer that kind drive-by ambushing would stop. But you rarely see it happen.

What kind of quote is that? More to the point, what kind of proof is that to validate your claim?

You’re lost...
