Trump will take a ton more delegates because his win was a mile wide and an inch deep. The winner gets 12 delegates and the remaining delegates are awarded by congressional district, 5 each. Trump won most of the congressional districts. Big win.

Trump should win..basically 4 big counties in at about 90% or so. Trump leads in 2 and Cruz leads in 2. Not enough votes out there for Cruz to realistically win considering the numbers left.

Trump just got over a million votes in Rubio’s state. Trump owns his political future. Rubio is going to play ball with him. Guaranteed.

Trump and his followers have done a masterful job of alienating and insulting us Cruz supporters, i.e., the social and constitutional conservative base of the party. At this point there would be, at best, serious lesser-of-two-evils nose-holding, if that, on November 8, along with a fair amount of #NeverTrump staying at home. There would be no enthusiasm whatsoever for Trump. So Trump and his followers have accomplished all that, that I can tell you. Believe me.

Good point, I never write Trump off, however this is more about inside baseball in the party of which Trump knows nothing about. He will be playing on their turf and with their rules. I have no doubt he can stare across the table into the eyes of these political party operators and have their lunch. But they hold the hammer, if there’s no 1237 they can go nuclear and leave him completely out in the cold through convention machinations. They could pick Bush and Kasich or Kasich and Rubio. To avoid such bitter pill and the potential anger and disenfrachizing of Trump’s voters the GOPe will stake a claim to the VP slot so they guarantee representation and can claim a victory for the party establishment.

No Rubio has suspended, not ended his campaign. Delegates are still his until he ends it. He can be a kingmaker if they matter in July.
