I early voted in Florida this past Friday. Everything seemed on the up and up. Very professional. We have paper ballots which require you to bubble in your choice. There was nothing else on the ballot except the primary, so it took all of 30 seconds to bubble in my choice. When done, I was instructed to insert my paper ballot into a scanner which presumably scanned the ballot and stored the paper ballot. This is a fairly conservative district in a medium sized city. The poll workers were mostly elderly volunteers. It wasn’t too busy, but then again it was early voting.
Thanks for the report. Glad to hear it went smoothly and seemed on the up and up.
I heard ol’ Chad was lurking around FL polling places. ;p
I always refer to the scanner as "the shredder."
That used to drive the poll workers within ear shot crazy.
Now they just smile and say "Oh, him again."
