President Obama on Tuesday decried the rise of vicious politics in comments aimed at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
Speaking at a St. Patricks Day luncheon at the Capitol, the president warned that "vulgar and divisive" rhetoric and violence on the campaign trail could tarnish Americas standing in the world and called on lawmakers in both parties to make it stop.
Too often, weve accepted this as somehow the new normal. And its worth asking ourselves what each of us may have done to contribute to this vicious atmosphere in our politics, Obama told the gathering of lawmakers and foreign dignitaries, noting that other politicians surely have remarks they regret, as he does.
And while some may be more to blame than others for the current climate, all of us are responsible for reversing it, for it is a cycle that is not an accurate reflection of America. And it has to stop.
Obamas words brought a somber atmosphere to the typically festive luncheon, which was hosted by Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) in honor of the St. Patrick's Day holiday.
The room became virtually silent when Obama turned to Ryan, a frequent political enemy of the presidents. While noting he fiercely disagrees with Ryan on policy, Obama said, I don't have a bad thing to say about you as a man.
Ryan nodded as Obama continued, "I know you want what's best for America."
The president called his attitude toward Ryan proof that "we can have political debates without turning on another."

Guess Ryan and Obama hate the country too much to notice that...
There are severe laws on the books that make what happened to Trump in Chicago and other places illegal. See #1 below. Then, there are severe laws for those involved in conspiracies against political events. So some rectums sitting in front of their computers organizing and ordering actions like what happen to Trump last week could find themselves facing severe fines and jail time. Mediots on TV and pushing or dog whistling violence against Trump are guilty. See #2 below.
#1:
For one thing, the law makes it easier for the government to criminalize protest. Period. It is a federal offense, punishable by up to 10 years in prison to protest anywhere the Secret Service might be guarding someone. For another, its almost impossible to predict what constitutes disorderly or disruptive conduct or what sorts of conduct authorities deem to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.
Then, Obama are you dog whistling or running a Soros conspiracy against Trump. Again that is against the law.
#2: There is another interesting Code/law that applies the conspiracy/violation of peaceful assembly and free speech.
18 U.S. Code § 241 - Conspiracy against rights If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; .... They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

Even a blind squirrel... I agree with Obama.
ROFLMAO! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! What a frickin’ shameless hypocrite this petulant little Kenyan, Alinsky-worshipping, statist is!
Will Mr Lipstck on a Pig be lighting up the White House in green on St Paddy’s Day?
Apparently Obama has never been around soldiers, marines, loggers or construction workers. Otherwise he would know what vulgar language really is.
where is the same voice on violence on the rhetoric of BLM or Trayvon Martin?
Oh I forgot, Obama was the one who incited the rhetoric.
Paul Ryan must be sleeping with the enemy
Trump has all the correct enemies. It should be plain to see that he IS the ONLY conservative choice.
May I denounce the vulgar politics employed in Mississippi in the not too distant past? Who owns that mess?
It’s O’Bama!
So says Mr. “Get in their face........and bring a gun.”
What debate. Ryan caved.
It seems that Paul Ryno is more and more becoming 0bama Jr.
WoW! Who could have seen this coming??????????????
/Sarc
Like seven years of Obama hasn’t tarnished America’s standing in the eyes of the world!
Pot calling the kettle black.
(Waiting for some to post an image of the “That’s Racist” kid).
"It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them."
Deuteronomy 32:35
No worries, DT called Ryan this morning and they chatted about it.
