It wouldn’t be “politically” dangerous; they are beyond political danger already. Wounded animals are dangerous, but it’s just death throes. The GOP is dead, and the Democrats are trying hard to join them with their electioneering. Whatever happens, we are in for interesting times!
I would agree with your sentiments about insider operatives - who stupidly thought Trump would simply “collapse” and did nothing to counter him in the beginning. That’s just a stupid strategy - and you see why they were incapable of winning races.

I object to these Establishment goons being called “Conservatives”. They are backstabbers.
Right these guys are not Nationalists or Patriots.
They sold the American workforce out for Cheap Foreign Labor either with millions of work visas or shipping factories abroad and foreign outsourcing.
Trump wants to reverse that and has revealed these backstabbers treachery, and traitorous behavior.
Everyone gets paid off while we are unemployed and wages shrink or are stagnant for the past 15 years.

They (uniparty) are working jointly to usher in their new paradigm which replaces the American worker with low wage, third world work force. (Look at the tens of thousands of unaccompanied *minors* that 0bie had specially delivered, over the past three years.) This workforce will accomplish several things, for the elites...provide funds to pay the current crop of Social Security payees and provide a voting block that ensures the leftists stay in power.
BOTH parties are being compensated for this transition- by the BIG $$ corporations that will benefit from this new workforce. The American worker gets the shaft. Trump realizes this and is the ONLY candidate taking these evil doers on. He cares about and wants to protect our American values and traditions of being self sufficient and productive and having the ability, incentive and pride to provide for ourselves and our own future generations. The elites think that concept is racist - except when it applies to them.
