Because if Ted is elected, Phil will get some of “the spoils of war brought back to the priests”, if Trump wins, he gets nothing. There is a real likelihood that the “priests” are establishment hacks, not Ted’s evangelical supporters.

When the senate decided not to call witnesses for a Bill Clinton trial , it was Lott , Hatch , Kay Bailey Hutchison and Phil Gramm that made the decision. Gramm was the only one that wanted to call witnesses. The rest said no and Clinton skated .
