>>> [I’ll vote for Trump] and vote against every R on the ticket in this election and every election to come until I die.
I had already decided the same, if they screw with the popular will.

OTOH, Cruz throws his support to Trump on the first ballot and gets a juicy nomination to the USSC in return.
Maybe the chief justice, if Roberts develops a sudden need to spend more time with his “family.”
And yeah, I think Roberts needs to spend more time with his “family.” LOL

I think Schieffer was just speculating, but the Trump and Cruz supporters will rebel if the GOPe pulls something like this.

On March 2, 2009 Tom Schieffer announced he was forming an exploratory committee that will allow him to seek the Democratic nomination for Governor of Texas.
Perhaps, Bob Schieffer is more in tune with democrat politics ...

It is quite possible that they will be able to finagle it. But if they do, there is Zero chance that they will be elected. Too many of us will just stay home (me included).

It’s sure looking that way, isn’t it? Man, the thirst for power makes people change from Chancellor Palpatine right into the Evil Emperor right before our eyes.

Ryan better get busy then. As the GOP national rules now stand, no delegate votes cast for any presidential candidate will be counted in the tally of first ballot votes unless that candidate had earlier demonstrated his support from a majority of the delegations from at least eight states or territories.

Not going to happen. If by some anomaly in the time space continuum, I will not vote Republican, nor will the First lady.
Take that to the bank.

Ryan/Kasich
Kind of has that “Obama’s third term” ring to it, doesn’t it? After all, Ryan’s first budget bill funded every single thing on Obama’s wish list, and Kasich has described himself as falling somewhere between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
They’ll give great concession speeches to Hillary, and Kasich will probably get a cabinet post from her. Keepin’ it in the uniparty.

What about the ‘Cruz-Tump delegate coalition in Tennessee’? Could that put a damper on things if other delegates follow suit?
To: drewh
If that’s the ticket mind as start calling Hillary Clinton President because what the GOP will be doing is giving the Democrats the power for the next 30+ years, illegals will get their amnesty, 20 million+ new Democrat voters, we might not win another election for a long time..Ryan/Kasich wow what an amazing combo..NOT
To: chris37
"Ill go wherever Trump goes and vote against every R on the ticket in this election and every election to come until I die." That will just be a good start for me.....
SOMEBODY does not understand the depth of the anger.
