Who is the ‘they’ you think are going to change the rules? Or that Schieffer thinks are going to change the rules.
‘They’ are the delegates. These are the very people who the local voters have entrusted with their choices. Between Cruz and Trump, they will control at least 2000 of these delegates, maybe 80% of them And they’re going to change the rules so that their votes can be stolen on behalf of Ryan or Kasich or some other ringer?

Their internal polling must really show a Yuge Trump victory over Hillary, but apparently not with Cruz or Ryan heading the ticket. Why wouldn’t we want to go with the winner?

The 'GOPe' is going to have to drug or hypnotize the 2000 or so delegates that will be controlled by Trump and Cruz to get this done.

You need to consider the possibility that Trump actually LOSES to Ted Cruz with no screwing of anyone involved.

I doubt the authors are searching the net for responses to their articles but I know for a fact they read the comments where their work is published.
It’s crazy not to use our voice and if the GOPe sees that they’re going to lose a lot more than the presidency I think the R’s that are going to be defeated will weigh in on the matter and tell them to knock it off.
I wish Schieffer would promise to go away if he is wrong.
But he won’t.
This is just an attempt to cause us to freak out.
