After Belgium Attacks, NBC Warns of ‘Rise of the Right Wing’ in Europe
NewsBusters ^ | 22 Mar 2016 | Kyle Drennen

During NBC’s breaking news coverage of the terrorist attacks in Belgium Tuesday morning, correspondents Andrea Mitchell and Richard Engel wasted no time warning of the “rise of the right wing” throughout Europe in response to such attacks.

In a special report just before 7 a.m. ET, Mitchell worried: “This is going to have big implications for the migration crisis in Germany and elsewhere because there is a popular notion that migrants are somehow connected with the terror threat. Whether or not that's true, that is the reality.” She added: “And there has been most recently last week in Germany, a bad election for Angela Merkel with the right-wing parties gaining strength...”

We're already seeing the rise of the right wing. We're already seeing rise of hate attacks, where people will use the kind of terrorist attacks, these kind of incidents, to vilify all of the Muslim community. Which, of course, only makes the situation worse. Because then people feel isolated, ostracized, ghettoized, and they retreat into their own communities.

Mitchell and Engel see Europe right as anti Jewish....it’s not very complicated

The media are masochists

Let Islam savage us and never fight back truly because that invokes nationalism which could have elements of anti Semitism or anti migrant

Better to live in fear of ISIS

...because there is a popular notion that migrants are somehow connected with the terror threat. Whether or not that's true, that is the reality.

Read Mitchell's statement to yourself again, slowly.

So, according to her, it is quite possible that the terror attack came from the immigrants. She doesn't know, nor anyone else, for the moment. So, without her knowing she is already casting her editorial comment. And what if it turns out to be immigrants that caused this terror attack? What will Mitchell say then? So she is condemning people for jumping to conclusion, but the reality is that the conclusion, for the moment, is highly logical and highly probable based upon the Boston Marathon attack, based upon the Paris attack, based upon 9/11, etc.

So in reality, Mitchell is being wholly dishonest and likely for sheer political purposes in trying to protect her Democrat tribe, i.e., Hillary and her beloved Obama.

The corrupt MSM are a huge problem in this country.

The Crusades were a response to all those incursions and massacres of Christians and Jews in northern Africa and in SE Europe. I guess that was just right-wing extremism too!

Why yes it was, otherwise known as "Sanity."

Yeah, I noticed that statement of Mitchell's too. It's just too bizarre. Sort of like saying: There is a popular notion that snakes are somehow connected with snake bites.

I know a French couple living here who refuse to send their children back to France.

They are proud of being French, but won’t send their kids their for school or visits “not the way it is now.” Yet at the same time, they also mouth the same progressive cliches on everything from multi-culti nonsense to global warming.

They really are a bundle of contradictions and cognitive dissonance, like many Europeans I know. I’ve told them that too.

Kill all the Imams and convert the rest to Christianity

No. They all deserve Imam treatment.

This is the only rational solution I see to the problem. All other paths lead to death.

Thanks for posting this excerpt. I had missed it in my hurry to read about the event in Brussels.

You cannot make up the stupidity of some liberal reporters. They must have a death wish as they repeatedly blame the wrong people for the evil among them. By doing so they perpetuate the evil.

When Revolution II occurs here, my greatest hope is that the MSM conspirators are the first to die.

It is a necessity during any coup that the state run media outlets be seized. What happens to the conspirators is the same whether they are media hacks, government elites or war profiteers. Cigarette? Blindfold?

Sounds like California migrants. They bring along their wrong-headed ideas to ruin their new homes.

Andrea Mitchell and Richard Engel wasted no time warning of the rise of the right wing; throughout Europe in response to such attacks.

And your response is what Ms Mitchell? To allow Islam to keep slaughtering Europeans and Western civilization? This has been going on since the 1980s. Its way past time somebody rose up!
