Jeb Bush endorses Cruz as a 'consistent, principled conservative'

Jeb Bush early Wednesday endorsed Ted Cruz’s Republican presidential bid, calling the Texas senator a “consistent, principled conservative.”

Bush, who ended his own campaign last month, said Cruz has “has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests.”

“Washington is broken, and the only way Republicans can hope to win back the White House and put our nation on a better path is to support a nominee who can articulate how conservative policies will help people rise up and reach their full potential," the former Florida governor said.

Bush called on Republicans to “overcome the divisiveness and vulgarity has brought to the political arena” or risk losing the White House.

“To win, Republicans need to make this election about proposing solutions to the many challenges we face, and I believe that we should vote for Ted as he will do just that,” Bush added.

Bush’s endorsement follows Cruz’s win in Tuesday’s Utah caucuses, where he won all 40 of the state’s delegates.

Wisconsin’s primary is April 5th.

I wonder when Walker will officially endorse Cruz.

Do you think de Balsio will endorse Donald for NY’s April 19 primary?

It’s understandable that de Blasio would be torn between Hillary and Donald.

I think this is the plan, Cruz is to be the nominee....then, shortly after, the Dems take him to court over his eligibility as a US Citizen. That is when Bush will take over.

I agree.....this is the new plan (since Jeb! had to drop out for lack of enthusiasm---his and his support)

We've all known that Cruz not being born in the U.S. or on a military base would be fodder for Hillary and her minions. He's easily defeated without even having to stuff the ballot box.

This is NOT good for Ted. It may hurt his chances for the V.P. slot.

Without Cruz on the ticket with Trump...there is no viable coalition to beat the demonrats.

There simply won't be enough of the “blue collar demonrats” to make up that loss of the base + the rinos to put Donald over the top.

And the welfarian/illegal/ and other handoutistas’ are NEVER going to crossover to the Republican.

That 47% we had in 2012...is closer to 52-55% today...totaling all handouts to everybody.

This is a very bad thing....a very bad thing.

"Rush's take on Jeb's endorsment"

Who cares?

Plenty of people.

Now if Rush has been propping up Trump until the GOPe cried uncle, as he's been telling his audience, we should get some indication of that today.

"Cause I do believe that we just heard the GOPe yell, "Uncle!"

That little girl hates her father.

I can well imagine the hours long lectures she may get from her daddy for the most minor of infractions at home. He's a talker....

I am very sorry you have mental illness. I hope you can secure effective treatment immediately.

Jeb’s endorsement of Cruz is just another sign of Cruz being a GOPe operative.

Maybe Carter isn’t up on some of Cruz’s actual Senate votes and only has listened to Cruz’s speehes.

Paid troll CW on duty on the am shift. You Cruzers are beyond pathetic. Cruz has won a grand total of 2 primaries. The rest of his “wins” have been caucuses most of which he’s won through outright cheating.

Time for some wise words from our Esteemed Founder:

"Don’t look now, but Trump is the only anti-establishment candidate left running. The GOPe is now backing Cruz to the hilt and he’s doing their bidding. Fiorino has come out for the GOPe big time, and is throwing all her schoolmarm charm Cruz’s way. Rubio’s a fricking amnesty traitor and Kasich is all in big government GOPe.

Thankfully, Carson has seen the light and so has Sessions and they’re backing Trump.

Cruz has let his ambition get the better of him and has lost it. He’s been thoroughly indoctrinated, corrupted and absorbed by those we’re fighting against. He’s now fighting with the GOP and the establishment political class against We The People.

And unfortunately, some of our very own have been unwittingly sucked into the GOPe vortex."

There you go folks, an accurate observation from JimRob a bit more than a week ago, and if any of you happened to squirm a bit at that "unfortunately, some of our very own have been unwittingly sucked into the GOPe vortex", give your head a shake and ask yourself just WTH you're doing.

And Jim? I think we would all appreciate your take on this Jeb Bush endorsement of Ted Cruz snd what can only be described as the Bushification of the Cruz campaign.

so you think it is a good thing that cruz is part of the establishment?

Here is what cruz said about the GOP back earlier this year and now you see how he must have been lying or he will be in bed with anyone to stop Trump for the establishment and the business as usual.

“Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you”.
- Ted Cruz, New Hampshire stump speech

By your logic if the GOP had rallied behind Trump, as he recently asked them to do, he would become “establishment.”

They have to be paid trolls t come out with such utter B/S.

She always does the AM shift and about 5 from TX and then the afternoon we see the handful of usual’s in the PM shift.

All spouting talking points and to say having Bush on your side when all of us clearly fought Bush tells me there are paid trolls
