I faced the post-Vietnam years as an officer at Fort Lewis with conscripts that didn't want to be there. I also found some conscripts that discovered that the Army was a good home, considering what they left behind. Some people respond to military discipline, and some don't. This is what separates the men from the boys.

And yes, the women could learn a lot from the military.

Post Vietnam years with conscripts

What years were those? I was near there in 1971-1972 at McChord AFB.

Fort Lewis is not a bad place in a part of Washington State that is incredibly beautiful.
