Megyn Kelly hit out at Donald Trump Thursday morning after he retweeted an unflattering picture of Ted Cruz's wife Heidi.
Kelly, who has been the victim of many a Trump attack herself, posted Trump's retweet on her own Twitter account and wrote; 'Seriously?'
The photo reweeted by Trump showed Heidi next to a very flattering image of Trump's model wife Melania and read; 'No need to "spill the beans." The images are worth a thousand words.'
He posted the photo just one day after threatening to 'spill the beans' on Heidi after a super PAC backing Cruz released an advert showing his wife Melania naked from a photo spread she did back in 2000 for the men's magazine GQ.

I am not as upset over her tawdry photographs as you might imagine. She may have taken her clothes off for money, but it is not like she was a stripper at one of Trump’s properties.

It's ridiculous. I am not a Trump supporter by any means, but I'm resigned to him being the nominee. And as much as I can't stand him, I'd still rather have him than Hillary.
But it's like Trump (and a great many of his supporters) are obsessed with playing stupid tit-for-tat insult games, as if whomever gets in the best "dig" at others wins. The juvenile insults and infantile nicknames he has for other candidates -- including people who aren't even in the race -- are going to make it impossible to rally support for the general election.
Everyone is a RINO. Everyone is a member of the "GOP-E". Everyone is part of the "Uniparty". Everybody is too corrupt and/or sensitive, and doesn't appreciate a "Real Alpha Male" like Donald Trump. Only Trump has his core supporters really understand what is going on, and the rest of us are idiots. It's the dumbest campaign strategy I've ever seen in my life.
Sure, it's a great way to rally your core, base support, who will be wildly enthusiastic. He'll be an absolute hero to that core, and repulsive to everyone else. And then, after everyone else gets insulted, he'll rant and rave about how Trump lost because the GOP wouldn't rally around him. And his fans will mirror back that persecution complex and go sulk.
I wish Trump and his supporters would wake up. The task now is to win more votes for the general election, not alienate potential support. Even if you think the insult is deserved.

I am no longer such a purist. But insults should not be more than 15 percent of the portfolio.

But there's no cleverness to this at all. It's basically schoolyard stuff, and if Trump doesn't think that this kind of thing with Cruz will hurt him among some voters, he's nuts. I personally know Republicans who can get on board with him on most issues, but just can't stand this stuff.
I mean, I'm demoralized enough that I'm forced to vote for him to keep Hillary out of office. It's just adding insult to injury when he keeps doing stuff that makes it more likely that my reluctant vote is going to be a loser as well.

The issue is the general election voters and how they’ll perceive Trump, not some background issue in an early stage of the primary.
That is a blatant lie. Cruz had absolutely nothing to do with that add and has publically said that he had nothing to do with it. The add was put out by an anti Trump PAC that has absolutely no affiliation with the Cruz Campaign. Additionally Sen. Cruz is prohibited by law with coordinating with any PAC on adds.

I don’t know how many times I have to repeat this for it too get through to you Trump supporters. The PAC that released this add was NOT and is NOT a Pro Cruz PAC. It is strictly an anti Trump PAC and it will encourage voters to vote for whoever can beat Trump in a given state.
You can repeat a lie a million times but it still remains a lie. Cruz cannot coordinate with even the pro Cruz PACs on adds and in the case the PAC that made the add was not even a Pro Cruz PAC. This PAC is an establishment anti Trump PAC that will encourage voters to support whichever candidate can beat Trump in a given state. To blame Cruz for this is a lie that has been spread by Lyin Trump and the Lyin Trumpettes.
"Hired" -- as in "paid good money to perform of their own free will" -- being the operative word.
