BRUSSELS — Belgium’s justice minister acknowledged Thursday that the authorities had erred by not acting on Turkey’s request last year that they take custody of a Belgian citizen arrested for suspected terrorist activity. The man was one of the Islamic State suicide bombers in the devastating Brussels attacks.

The acknowledgment by the justice minister, Koen Geens, was the first high-level Belgian admission of blunder in the aftermath of the attacks on Tuesday, which have exposed missteps by European security officials and police, just four months after the Islamic State’s assault on targets in Paris.

“What’s essential in the story is that with the passing on of the information from Turkey and with the passing on of the information within Belgium, we have been slower than one could have expected under those circumstances,” Mr. Geens said on Flemish television in Belgium. “So, the information was passed on, but we have not been diligent, or probably not diligent enough.”

It would have been easy to stop this invasion. Too late now.

This is a good instance when Hillary’s line is applicable. What difference does it make anymore? People will spin this as an intelligence failure, blunder etc. in order to deny the truth that it is an invasion. So if people can take the narrative into the weeds with procedure the bigger threat is lost.

In the 1960’s almost all Western European countries elected left wing governments that drastically changed their immigration laws. Essentially the Marxists implemented the essence of their One World/No Borders tenet. The result was that huge communities of aliens, who do not share Western values and customs, were established throughout Europe. These aliens even after two generations have not and cannot assimilate. Chairman Mao said it best. A sea has been created where the terrorists, like the other fish, can swim unnoticed, be nourished and protected and strike wherever they like without warning. Western Europe has entered a post Christian neo pagan era of epicurean decadence. They can no longer defend their borders or their women. The Marxists who always despised Western culture have succeeded in directing its destruction.

In the article, it says that both the ‘interior’ and ‘justice’ Ministers offered their resignations, but these were rejected by their PM. I’m sure that they knew beforehand that the resignations would not be accepted, so it was easy to take ‘responsibility’ for the failures of their departments.

I hope the voters remember this during the next election!

The lapses started when they started allowing Muslims into their country.

It’s not impossible for countries to deal successfully with Muslim terrorists. Israel has been doing it for its entire existence.

Why have Brussels, Paris, New York, and London been the focus of massive terrorist bombings while Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have managed to avoid them?

Because Israel has better intelligence abilities than other countries — abilities that Israel would certainly be happy to share if asked by countries like Belgium whose bumblings proved fatal this week to 34 innocent victims.

Unfortunately, Belgians think of Israel as a country to be boycotted, principally for trying to protect itself against Muslim terrorist organizations — Hamas and the PLO; so it’s unlikely that Belgium will turn to Israel for help protecting itself against its own Muslim terrorist attackers, ISIS.
