The scuttle has been around since the beginning of the year. I had assumed it referred to Rubio, not Cruz.

The Enquirer’s been around 90 years. They are great sleuths of celebrity scandals. Unfortunately some of their scoop is painfully accurate. Here’s one on Sarah Palin’s daughter:

The National Enquirer claimed to have an exclusive account of Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. Bristol is the daughter of Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska and former Republican nominee for Vice President.

...The ultra-conservative governor’s announcement about her daughter’s pregnancy came hours after The Enquirer informed her representatives and family members of Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol’s child, that we were aware of the pregnancy and were going to break the news. In a preemptive strike Palin released the news, creating political shockwaves.

We hate what they do, but they are good at digging in dirt.

“Cosby’s murdered son. They have outed a lot of celebrity cheaters”

1. You do know the NE claimed Cosby himself had his son killed, do you not?

2. As for “celebrity cheaters,” would you consider Trump backer Sarah Palin one of them? I don’t.

3. The NE claimed Trump backer Ben Carson left a sponge in the cranial area of a child patient and caused her brain damage. Do you believe that? I don’t.

The Cruz PAC funneled the $500,000 to the Fiorina PAC was perfectly legitimate and honest. It's a known fact the folks running these PACs are some of the most honorable people in the U.S. That's why they quickly loot most of the money off the top so they can send it to churches and charities in the form of donations.

No joke Scotty.

You’re still supposing and assuming facts that aren’t there. I get that you’re anxious for something to break on this.

The level of intensity that you wish for something to be so simply doesn’t make it so.

But, just to throw you a bone, I’ll tell ya what, draggie. It’s Good Friday, so I’m going to award the rest of the night off for you for your strenuous (albeit unsuccessful) efforts. Have a wonderful Easter weekend and don’t eat too much candy.

Scotty,
Ted does not have a lecherous demeanor. But he is a manipulator of truth on a host of other issues that have nothing to do with adultery. It’s hard to predict others’ behavior and we all know that power corrupts.

A great deal of married men are cheaters. With Elin as a spouse, who would have guessed that Tiger Woods was living that sordid lifestyle. Bet the golf & celebrity buddies would have rushed to defend him, if there was not the ugly truth on the cover of the NE.

I hope that this Easter weekend is not fraught with heartache or embarrassment for the Cruz family. I pray that Ted has a clear conscious as a faithful husband and father and that the truth will prevail.

But do not pretend it’s Trumps issue. It’s been a circulated story prior to the NE’s lead. And do not pretend that the release of Melania’s photo was not intended as a preemptive strike before Cruz’s alleged scandals were made public.

There are no coincidences in politics.

That is what the GOPe wants. I think the story was dropped, no I know the story was dropped by operatives who are neither Cruz nor Trump, why?

Only Trump and Cruz together can take the nomination away from GOPe. This is known as the “Pox on Both Houses” strategy.

I wish their campaigns could see it. Its easier to see it when you are on the outside.

> And I wonder how they came up with this tidbit of information and who is funding the investigation and why. You mean they don't give the source of their information?

None from the original source or the actual mistresses themselves as far as I know. Till then I wouldn't say this intel is credible enough to be of value...yet.

One thing s for sure - the Democrat’s plan of splitting the conservative vote so it came down to two candidates instead of just one worked like a charm. Now they’re onto Phase Ii - split the camps and blind the people so that Hillary can waltz in and win the election. Keep this in mind while you’re at each other’s throats. Don’t be played for a fool...

Unless you’re Donald Trump.

He brags about his affairs...

We've been through this before with Gingrich. At the time he was running for president I lost count of how many people used "everyone does it" or "Clinton got away with it" to excuse Newt's past divorces.

The difference between Newt and Cruz and someone like Bill Clinton is their voters.

Many Clinton voters (probably most) were willing to overlook his extensive adultery because they weren't all that moral themselves. For some Willie's womanizing only increased his status as "the man."

That tactic was DOA for Newt. For Cruz, a candidate who relies even more on the evangelical vote than Gingrich did, the optics are terminal if this has any legs.

Thanks Scotty. Oh, and stop allowing yourself to be copulated by flimflam men like Cruz.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Trumpkins are pathetic. With polls show Trump’s numbers exploding into rubble, they keep peddling tabloid trash. They have borrowed a page from their “Dear Leader.”

I figured that it was in the best interest of the party to keep a woman in the race. Carly did the best job of attacking Hillary.

Had Carly even distinguished herself back in June, 2015 ? There had been no debates.

People were left scratching their heads in July when Keep the Promise 1, one of a conglomerate of super PACs funded by deep-pocketed Cruz supporters (the others are cleverly named Keep the Promise PAC, Keep the Promise II and Keep the Promise III; don’t strain yourself, guys), revealed in its financial disclosures a $500,000 donation to Fiorina’s campaign.

Keep the Promise 1 had a healthy $10 million on hand from a $11 million donation from hedge fund CEO Robert Mercer as of the end of June. But it only spent $536,169. A little for legal services. A little for surveys. And a whole lot for Fiorina.

Even the Federal Election Commission is perplexed. The super PAC was (purposely?) vague about the donation, describing it on its FEC filing as “other disbursement.”

So, the FEC, as it does, sent a letter Wednesday asking for “a brief statement or description of why each disbursement was made.”

Something like: Well, just in case…

The donation to Fiorina was made June 18, which shows tremendous foresight. Fiorina was barely registering then, not yet revealed as the scrappy underdog with killer debate skills. And Donald Trump had yet to steal most of Cruz’s disenchanted voters.

The super PAC’s treasurer Jacquelyn James did not respond to our request for comment. Maybe the FEC will have better luck.

The thing about this is that nobody would care if Cruz wasn't holding himself up to be morally superior and the "Godly" candidate. God can forgive him if he did this but he should have had this come out before now if he did it.

Yes, running as Jimmy Swaggart has its downsides ...

If anyone could track down where this public women's restroom is, it might help sleuth out whether Cruz and Amanda Carpenter were in the same city that day (04/01/14):

Notice who is missing a man's suit coat and who is wearing one? It was a Tuesday. Reportedly they met up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would also question who put the tattoo on Amanda. She did not do it alone.

I can not take credit for the coat observation. It took a young women Amanda's age who focused in on it immediately.

Just an observation, but if someone wanted to roll up the sleeve of his shirt, it would be easier for him to do so if he removed his jacket first. We don’t know if his own suit jacket is just off camera.

Also, in her picture, the jacket she’s wearing might well be her own jacket; it doesn’t look too large for her, might be made from the same material as a man’s jacket but tailored for a woman.

Finally, the restroom looks like it might be in one of the House or Senate Office Buildings. Just a wild guess.
