Whenever I hear or read “consistent conservative”, I can’t help but think about “compassionate conservative” and “severely conservative” as well.

I went back 24 hrs ago to tweets by @TedCruz, and @DonaldJTrump, Ted’s are all about Trump. Trump’s are mostly about what Trump wants to do for America.

And @HeidiCruz, she disappeared over 48 hrs ago..

It has nothing to do with logic or politics or information.

Anyone with common sense and willingness to research would have noted that something was seriously wrong with Jim and Tammy Faye. Yet how many were taken in? You get into that realm of “face of God” and religious redemption and a lot of folks turn off anything that contradicts their carefully constructed worldview.

I think part of the confusion is that Trump is not a polished policy wonk and easily makes verbal tactical errors. These errors are then repeated, piecemeal and over and over to create this image of inconsistency.

1. The Obama care mandate. He’s not talking about making people pay for insurance. It’s a live interview and in the heat of discussion, uses the word to indicate there has to be some out for people that don’t have insurance.

We already had that prior to Obama care, without the “mandate”.

He clarifies later by saying to repeal the mandate. Now he’s referring to the actual everybody must by insurance mandate.

2. 2nd Amendment. In 2000 he opposed gun control. The assault weapons ban was strictly an emotional response. He went with the popular view at that time. But since he started running last June, he’s been staunchly pro 2nd amendment.

Giving money to gun grabbers is silly to point out since he gave money to non gun grabbers as well. Kind of a wash.

3. Planned Parenthood. In the beginning I don’t think Trump was totally informed on the PP situation. But the whole time he also said that PP should not be funded by tax payer dollars. When he says “they do good things for woman” he’s simply not trying to alienate people that aren’t on board with us right wingers on the subject. There are a lot of regular folks who haven’t come to the realization of how evil PP is.

4. Israel. Trump is absolutely all in for Israel. The neutral thing was him talking about refereeing a “deal” between Israel and PLO. He also stated that only one side is interested in a deal while the other only wants death to the other side.

Holding Trump to things he said in the past is fair. It’s up to Trump to convince the voters that all his current positions are where he stands. He’s convinced me. He has the right enemies and Lord knows, he doesn’t need any of this aggravation. More importantly, he puts his life on the line every time he shows up for a rally.

Trump’s? Yes. I have scanned https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/ For the most part they comprise an agreeable platform. He is most off base with tariffs that could fall into the “protectionist” category. A tariff is, of course, a tax. The American consumer is the one who pays them indirectly, one or more steps removed. And I am against creating protected classes of citizens by shielding them from natural competition from abroad. I don’t think Trump, however, is going to plunge the world into a depression via a tariff war against China and other countries. The world economy is already tanking. It will be much worse come February of next year.

You’re naive if you believe there are fair trading practices from abroad.

Cruz is really dumb and is prone to pontification. He'll say anything to advance his ambitions......blatantly lying to trash Trump. Now says Pres Trump is going to work with Sen Reid. Cruz doesn/t even know Reid is retiring. Ted is unaware of what’s going on in the Senate...the body to which he was elected, to represent Texas.

Ten months after Cruz was elected to the Senate, his long-held ambitions for the presidency began in earnest. Trusting Texans did not know he was using the Senate to advance himself into political power.

Cruz is looking like ex-Texas Gov Rick Perry.....two stealth candidates trusting Texans hardly knew.

At first, Cruz (like Perry) looked good....prez material, even. Then candidate Cruz (like Perry) began admitting things that trusting Texans knew nothing about.

Gov Perry shocked his constituents when he admitted in a presidential debate that he was using trusting Texans tax dollars to give illegals in-state tuition...and that they were heartless b/c they did not like this use of tax dollars. (Perry also installed the country/s first Sharia Court in Texas....active to this day).

==================================================

Cruz heaped on the surprises:

<><> I didn/t know I was a Canadian citizen when I ran for the Senate until the media exposed it.

<><> I told trusting Texas voters wifey and I were liquidating family assets so I could get into the Senate.

<><> I didn/t know I was supposed to tell the FEC I borrowed over a million from my Wall Street margin accounts to fund my campaign.

<><> I told Mark Levin the borrowed funds were used for campaign ads....but I didn/t report this as required.

<><> And so on and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.

===============================================

BACKSTORY In Texas, Cruz/s Senate election fairy tale has become legendary......portraying himself to trusting Texans as a scrappy populist putting everything on the line to overcome a wealthy establishment opponent.

He was whining in the media, telling trusting Texans that he, and his faithful little wife (a $700,000 globalist lawyer employed by G/S), were forced to liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

NOW TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin accounts at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from Texans).

Cruz did not disclose loans on FEC reports (required by law) b/c Texans would have discovered he was not the aw-shucks rube he pretended to be. He continued the rube act in order to milk votes from Texans.

At the same time, he also did not disclose he was a Canadian citizen......the Harvard-educated lawyer w/ two Ivy League degrees said he didn/t know.

When the Dallas Morning News published Cruz/s Canadian birth certificate, Cruz put Texans through the charade of renouncing his Canadian citizenship.....even though Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at the time of his birth.

==========================================

Cruz’s latest numbers indicate he would lose a primary challenge for his Senate seat. Clearly, Ted isn’t as well liked in Texas as he wants everyone to think.

In the Texas prez primary, Cruz did not do as well as expected even w/ Texas Gov Abbott running the show. Cruz didn’t even come close to winning a majority in Texas. He would have gotten a lot more delegates if he had.

Cruz got 1,239,370 votes but that/s only 44% of the vote---he would have needed to reach 50% to get every delegate according to Texas/ convoluted rules. He got 102 delegates.

Donald Trump got 757,618 votes....27% of the vote....he got 47 delegates. Rubio got 502,223 votes....that/s 18% ...he ended up w/ 3 Texas delegates.

Cruz spent a bundle but came away looking like a reject.
