Much of counterterrorism is really security theater. TSA searches that have yet to stop a terrorist. Bombing raids that don't drop bombs. Soldiers standing with rifles that have no bullets in them. It looks impressive. But there's no substance behind it.

Of course it's just for show. Anything else would be too much. Western governments don't want to actually stop Islamic terrorism. They want to look like they're trying.
It's not just Obama. It's the whole system.
After every terror attack, there's security theater. Empty reassurances that the guys running everything are really taking it seriously. But there's no there, there. Instead they'll keep on bringing huge numbers of Muslims, creating the next wave of terror, even while they put on a show of being serious about the latest attack.
Being serious about Islamic terrorism means ending Muslim migration. Any government that doesn't want to do that is also not going to do much to fight Islamic terrorism except go through the motions.

Will the craven, lib Euro countries do that? Of course not...that would be racist. It wouldn't be racist, but the cowardly libs will do anything to not be accused of racism. Better their countries go down the tubes than be accused of racism.
German troops committed many atrocities against Belgian civilians during WWI which was documented in a book I recently read "German Atrocities 1914: A History of Denial" by Home and Kramer.
While in the army, we would occassionally travel off post to perform a funeral...usually for a WWII vet. We used M16s for the salute. As the plation leader, I carried a pistol, in case somebody tried to steal our rifles during our travels. And, just like Barney, I wasn’t allowed to keep a round in the gun. Rather, I carried a magazine in my pocket, per SOP :(

No member of the American military should ever stand guard with unloaded weapons. That includes ceremonial ones like the Unknown Soldier.
Probably the same should be said for cops.

My dad told me, that when he pulled guard duty in the US Army, circa 1962 at a base in West Germany, that he was sent out with a gun with no bullets. Much the same as now, the gun carrying was for theatre. So this is not a new phenomenon.
