Trump: Cruz started 'garbage' but let's move on (Savage interview)

Asked by talk-radio host Michael Savage if it’s at all possible that someone from his campaign staff was responsible for the National Enquirer story claiming Ted Cruz had five mistresses, GOP presidential primary front-runner Donald Trump insisted his camp is clean.

Donald Trump (Courtesy Michael Vadon) “No, it’s not possible,” Trump said. “In fact, two articles were written today, or yesterday, by not-lovers of Trump, the Daily Beast – whatever that may be – and another one, a respected journalist, that said Marco Rubio has been peddling this story for a long time.”

Trump, a regular guest on “The Savage Nation,” was invited to come on the show after Savage warned Friday that he might withdraw his support of the real-estate billionaire’s White House bid if he did not denounce the National Enquirer story.

“I never heard about this story, and frankly I had absolutely nothing to do with the National Enquirer putting the story in,” Trump told Savage Monday.

At least Trump isn't deleting all of his Tweets up to March 1 of this year like a

So we're left with circumstantial evidence. The closer I look at circumstantial evidence it seems far more likely Cruz is closer to being right.
