Kasich Calls for Trump, Cruz to ‘Consolidate Behind Me’
National Review ^ | March 27, 2016 | Tom S. Elliott

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz should suspend their campaigns and “consolidate” behind John Kasich, John Kasich suggested this morning during an appearance on Meet the Press.

“Ted Cruz’s campaign is repeatedly called for you to get out,” host Chuck Todd said. ”Saying a vote for you is a vote for Donald Trump. … If you thought your position in this race strengthened Trump, would you get out?”

“Chuck, I’m beating Hillary by 11 points,” Kasich replied. ”I’m the only one that can win in the fall. And as you noticed the narrative over the last week has been what is wrong with the party. Kasich’s the guy that can win the general. Some people have said Kasich would be the best president.”

True ..most people wouldn’t have minded a Trump/Cruz ticket, but the Cruz camp will make sure that that never happens ..Cruz is GOPe all the way

“Kasich is pretty far out on the left. Can’t imagine Cruz ever supporting him.”

With Kasich’s current state of mind, I can’t even begin to imagine him as President. He is a real looney tune. I can just see him meeting with the dictators of this world, true he probably wouldn’t be bowing, because he would be too busy handing out daisies and flowers. Talk about a 60’s flower child. Help LORD, we need it badly.

I live in Ohio — sigh — SO tired of these lying RINO-RAT-weasels. I hope Krazy Kasich just keeps on running and doesn’t come back.

Wow, there are delusions of grandeur, but this is certifiable! Maybe Kasich needs to get some help.

Chuck, I’m beating Hillary by 11 points,” Kasich replied. ”I’m the only one that can win in the fall.

He is taking Cruz' argument and exploiting it; Kasich outperforms Cruz in the current poll match ups against Clinton. It is an even more reasonable argument that Kasich get the nomination then Cruz.

GOPe has made it clear that they pick the nominee - not the voter. They will fight Trump tooth and nail to prevent him from reaching 1237. If he does, they will change the rules. It’s almost impossible for Cruz to make 1237. At a brokered they will not give it to Trump, Cruz or Kasich. They will prance out Ryan to bring peace to the party and we can all hold hands and sing Kumbaya.

If the primaries were a clinical trial, Kasich would be the placebo.

That placebo effect fools the GOPe every time!

I think they will install a GOPe puppet (Romney,Kasich, Bush, Ryan) and put Cruz on as veep to pull in the Conservatives ...won’t work this time ..and Cruz is fully aware of this plan ..I think the deal has been made

Some people have said Kasich would be the best president.

He's now taken to using Katie Couric and Diane Sawyer MSM tactics.
