Have yet to have one Cruz supporter enlighten me why Cruz is in the race at all at this point. Statistically no chance of getting the 1237 delegates and yet they do not want a brokered convention. So how can you circle a square Yet we are the ones with a cult like adoration for a Svengali devoid of any reason or logic. I found most Cruz supporters erudite, arrogant, caustic and ideological to a fault. I kind of know the answer why they support him. You have whiners , complainers and excuse makers in this world..(Most Cruz supporters) you know, the gossiping hens at work, who know better than the boss, yet they leave promptly at 5pm, come in late, take the maximum PTO days, do the minimum but THEY know better how to run the company. Liberals who just are a little smarter than the average socialist and parrot the right Rush Limbaugh lines. Cruz supporters = talkers, like their candidate, long on manifestos and talking points but short on action. Fat white house wives and middle age guys with salt and pepper beards with yesterday’s lunch in it.
What he did was senseless, meaning he had no idea what he really did.
Oath-taking is a serious thing. He did not ask them to "promise" their votes, he asked them to raise their hands and swear to him.
The only entity that should be sworn to is God. And from what I know about Trump is that he is not God.
Now, we do swear allegiance to the Constitution and our flag, but they are representations of our collective belief in God.
Donald Trump is not God, nor is he a representation of God.
Trump is not God and you are a moron. All is right in the world.

Swearing an oath is serious business precisely because it involves God. For Trump to take it so matter-of-factly makes me question his understanding of things that should be held sacrosanct.

I don’t know if he’s eligible or not - but I think Trump was 100% correct when he said that Cruz needed to get some kind of official ruling so that the Democrats couldn’t challenge his right to run if it came to that.
The fact that he DIDN’T do that long in advance of this makes me wonder. The guy’s a lawyer. He should know better (and, hey, maybe even be AWARE of what country he’s a citizen of!).
