I have noticed how thin and skinny young men look now. No shoulder mass and no muscle tone at all. I am 40 and I remember some kids like this, but now it seems to be the majority. The kids from the country are the exception, but so many city and town kids look like this. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe it is just me getting old.

I still hold doors for women that appear to be over 30 or Western. I used to hold the door for all females, millenials typically give me some smart or sarcastic comment.

I don’t recall seeing any modern TV commercial with the male figure as being strong and in charge. Today’s commercials always show the woman in the driver’s seat of the car or in the lead of the family/couple situation. The male, especially a white male, is typically the wimp, the buffoon, or both. Even the male’s children are smarter than the adult male according to Madison Avenue

This is the reason Bob Newhart gives for why he has always refused to play a dad on TV. Cause he's always a moron, or a buffoon, or being shoved around by his wife and kids.

At one point the writers of The Bob Newhart Show presented him with a script in which Emily becomes pregnant. He read it and said "This is outstanding! Really excellent work! One of the funniest scripts you've ever done! I have just one question.....who you gonna get to play Bob?"
