The latest Quinnipiac University Poll suggests that Republican front-runner Donald Trump has any hope of winning his blue home state of New York in November, despite predictions that he could buck political trends there.

The poll shows Trump losing New York by at least 20 points in theoretical head-to-head matchups against Democrats Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders:

The poll shows Ted Cruz faring even worse than Trump against either Democrat. John Kasich is the only GOP candidate who comes close to either of the Democrats in New York, the poll shows, placing him must 5 points behind Clinton.

But Trump said he can win NY!

John Kasich is the only GOP candidate who comes close to either of the Democrats in New York . . .

But, he still loses.

Trump does no better than Cruz in NY against Hillary? Calling BS on that one.

Yet Ted Cruz would lose New York by an even bigger margin. Polls are often wrong, and this will be one of those times. Trump wins New York in the General Election, should he make it there.

This sentence needs an editor.

I saw that too, but it really isn't my job to correct NewsMax's sloppy proofreading.

"Excuse me."

1984. 32 years ago. I have shoes older than that.

"And I would note," at least one of the candidates (3, actually) are liberals. One is a carpetbagger. One is a NY'er.

Christopher Ruddy lost me many years ago after Bush was elected and he praised Clinton so highly. He said it pained him to have to ever publish negative things about Clinton when he was president.

If the Republicans want to win New York state, they’ll have to run Raul Castro, or some other commie. That state is a commie-infested nanny state. It should secede and join Europe. Where I live is not much better.

Of course Trump would be crushed in NY. Only googly-eyed trumpitinas imagine otherwise. They imagine that Trump is some sort of beloved hometown hero. He is literally despised by the majority of NYers.

Cruz would do about the same, but no Cruz supporters are delusional about it.
