When I see Bush with the Saudi KING and understanding the absolute PROVEN FACT THAT THE (15 plane hijackers were all Saudi , Sunni WAHHABIS and Osama Bin Laden was in the Saudi Royal family and totally supported by the Saudi Royal family, WHY DID WE INVADE IRAQ? Any one else have that question answered?

I had that question in the beginning but even here in FR, I was steered away from thinking Saud and thinking Iraq and like good little goebbelites ... I bought into it

Yes. It wasn’t about Iraq. It was to show the Saudis that we weren’t a paper tiger (as bin Laden was proclaiming) and that we were willing to use force in case the Saudis needed defending. The hope was that if we showed we were willing to put “skin in the game” and not run away, as in Lebanon or Somalia, the Saudis would be willing to reduce the protection money they were paying al Qaeda.
IMHO, Iraq didn't have anything to do with 9/11.
But 9/11 presented an excuse to invade them and kill Saddam Hussein.
Supposedly George Bush hated Saddam Hussein's guts for trying to have his father assassinated.
But every time that theory is postulated here the Bush lovers go bananas.
The entire Bush family and most of the State Department were/are Saudi lovers and the Bush family has been entangled in the oil business with them for years so there was no chance the Bush government would hold the Saudis accountable for 9/11.
Don't forget that after George Bush grounded all aircraft in the US on 9/11 he gave special permission for influential Saudis in the USA to fly to various airports in the US to gather and fly out of the US.
And one of those Saudi groups was Osama Bin Laden's family.
