Abortion seeking women and abortion providing doctors would both be guilty of the same crime... Murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Any nurse or other who assists the crime would also be an accessory.

It’s high time to get this done. We are failing to save the most innocent and precious of our citizens and that’s a damn shame on us.

If that is illegal to do, yes.

“If they were both deemed guilty, we might just get rid of abortion.”

If they made abortion illegal on the grounds that a fetus
is considered a human being at conception then the only
logical conclusion is that abortion would be murder.
And the last time I checked, murder was illegal only with
the exception of abortion.

Being one of the few speaking for the voiceless and aborted unborn, I
think abortion sucks.

It is not illegal, but it could be pregnancy termination.

Trump’s initial answer was absolutely correct in terms of equal application of the law. He screwed up when he backtracked and claimed woman would not be held accountable under the scenario of abortion being illegal. By doing so he created a ‘protected class’ of citizens, a flawed and unjust policy. BTW, Cruz and that ‘other fellow’ showed their hands when they criticized Trump for his original answer by demonstrating that they too are in favor of that flawed ‘protected class’ concept.

You haven’t read up on this, have you?

The whole question presented from Matthews was around ‘if abortion was made illegal, what should be done to the woman who paid for it?’

Hypothetically, if abortion were illegal, then, yes, there should be punishment for the woman, and also the accomplice - (doctor) Just like when someone drives a get-away car for a bank robbery - that person is also charged. Trump is right on the legal aspect. Either we have laws or we are a nation without them - and Ted Cruz, being the slimy lawyer that he is - apparently, doesn’t care about laws. He also doesn’t care about free speech, when he sides with thugs, BLMS, Hillary, etc. He’s such a creep - I just can’t say anything good about him. Not now - not ever.

Whether Trump actually does tell the truth is a different question—one more often answered in the negative—but Wednesday, he did something rare for a Republican politician: he told the truth, saying that if abortion were illegal, women should be punished. (He later walked back his comments).

We Republicans who are pro-life are being painted with the same brush as a man who purports to be one of us. A man who until just recently admitted to being pro-abortion and donated lots of money to Planned Parenthood and all the politicians who work like dogs to keep abortion well-funded.

And he claims that there is a portion of the Republican party who believes that women who have abortions should be punished.

But the truth is there is NO SEGMENT of the pro-life community who believes that. None. In this regard Trump stands alone.

He alone believes women should be punished. It is a common theme with him. Women are expendable and when it is convenient to him they can be blamed. He has blamed every woman who has an abortion, but not the provider, not Gosnell, not the baby part butchers.

Nope blame the woman. And then TIME and all of its surrogate media organs can push forth a narrative that is not true.

Thanks Trump. You are a real piece of work.

“However the goal has to be overturning Roe v. Wade and returning the right to the states.”

Supreme Court justices will overturn Roe, or not.

Presidential rhetoric and politics will not amount to a hill of beans.

Presidents and candidates can debate and rant and tweet ad nauseum. It is all meaningless.

A woman’s choice begins at birth control - condoms, sponge, IUD, etc. That’s it.

If she is too lazy or too stupid to protect her body and herself from HIV, Hep C, etc., she shouldn’t be having sex.

If she chooses to engage in unprotected sex, the risk is pregnancy. The father has no input on whether or not the child is carried to term, but he is half responsible for the rest of the child’s life financially, emotionally, etc.

I have a more libertarian view of the current law:
If abortion is available to a woman and she chooses to give birth, that is the ultimate choice. With that, if the father is reluctant and did not want to become a father, he should not be financially responsible nor should the government provide subsidies for this ‘choice’.

If she can afford to keep it, good. If not, she can give it up for adoption.

Remove the incentive, and abortion and babies born out of wedlock will drop like a stone. Where is the accountability here??

Trump’s right for Hillary’s campaign anyway.

“In general, pro-life groups advocate punishment only for the abortionists, understanding that women faced with an unwanted pregnancy are in a very difficult position, that in some circumstances the worst of those difficulties are beyond their immediate control, and that the vulnerability of their position counsels a humane stance even when they have gone to the horrifying length of seeking elective homicide for their unborn children. American anti-abortion laws generally exempted the mothers for these reasons and others.

But whatever your position is on that approach, you should probably have figured it out well before you run for president as a purportedly pro-life candidate.”
