HAH! Trump calls out Club 4 Growth after Their Trump Attack Ad Titled “Math” Doesn’t Add Up
The Gateway Pundit ^ | April 1, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Club for Growth released its latest attack ad against Donald Trump. The ad titled “Math” is running in Wisconsin.

In the ad Club for Growth posts a chart showing the candidate’s delegate count.

Then Club for Growth adds Cruz and Kasich’s delegates to show Cruz beating Trump.

But the ad doesn’t add up. 463 + 143 = 608 which is significantly less than 739.

Their “Math” ad doesn’t add up.

On Friday Trump called out the anti-Trump group.

Amen! I don’t think a group that can’t do basic first grade addition is going to help with growth of anything beyond more stupidity in America.

The repubs know every way there is to lose in the general election.

Methinks they'll invent several more this year.

Actually, the dumbasses are the people saying the math doesn’t add up. The ad never claims that the Cruz delegates plus the Kasich delegates are greater in number than the Trump delegates. It clearly suggests that “the opposition” (to Trump) consists of more delegates than Trump has. And that’s entirely accurate.

Trump 749
Cruz 455
Kasich 144
Other 219

Total Trump 749
Total non-Trump 818

Trump is the biggest dumbass for tweeting out and suggesting that the ad was making a math claim that it clearly doesn’t. The point of the ad is completely valid.

Its ‘Common Core’ math. Its like a Common Whore bath. Insufficient and not good enough.

I watched the ad and it seems to be based on the idea that Mr Trump has reached his peak and if all the other votes are consolidated in one candidate they can overcome his total. That may or may not be true.

Depending on which side you are on, there is one comforting or troubling truth out there. No one candidate has achieved a majority of the delegates selected through this date. When the ballot is cast at the convention, all 2475 delegates will be voting, not just those bound to the three remaining active candidates. No poll, no delegate estimate, or argument about what should be can overcome "Math" when it really counts. That is when the actual delegates cast their vote at the convention. It is beginning to look like the unbound delegates will be to key factor.

The announcer says “The math just doesn’t work for John Kasich — a vote for Kasich actually helps Trump ... by dividing the opposition.” Then a graphic rectangle representing the total opposition is added to the Ted Cruz graphic rectangle and the total Cruz column is more than the Trump column graphic. Due to the limitations of time the ad does not speak of all the other opposition delegates. Due to the limitation of graphic space no other opposition faces are included in the ad. The last graphic implies all opposition votes, not just Kasich votes. The ad is mostly an anti-Kasich ad. The math is there, just not spoon fed to the viewer.

You need to look at the pictures provided again. They clearly show what this article represents and not what you are saying.

What you haven’t done is give a rationale for why those numbers should be added to Cruz, Kasich, Rubio, Bush,....or a Ryan who didn’t even run.

If Trump didn’t get them, then neither did the other candidates get the delegates that they did not get.

And Ryan or Romney CERTAINLY didn’t get them.

Well no surprise when their candidate thinks a marriage between one man and one woman equals five mistresses.

The ends justify the means and the ends are Ted Cruz.

Trump can lose every single delegate in WI and still be on track for the nomination.... he won’t of course, but it won’t stop him.

WI has 42 delegates, NY has 95. Combine the two and even if Cruz were to get all 42 of Wisconsin, Trump will easily get more than 55% of the two states combined, and that’s the average he must keep to secure 1237.

There is no realistic path that gets Cruz to 1237. All Cruz and Kasich can manage is at best force a contested convention, in which case, NONE of them is likely to wind up the nominee.

The point of the ad is completely valid.

The ad is like watching a magic act, once you know the trick... it is easy to understand how it was done. If you don't know the trick then you are left wondering how the magician did it. This is called “deception” a technique used frequently by the Cruz campaign. So the actual point may be “valid”, but the ad is meant to deceive, and you know this as well as anyone.

Congrats you can add.. Big accomplishment for a Cruzlim, you must be their leader. Using that dumb ass way of thinking has Lying Ted down 1,112 to 455. Very impressive!!

You mean like picture 1:

and picture 2:

Where you can clearly see that in picture 2, not only is the little bar representing "the opposition" larger than the little bar in picture 1, but that little bar doesn't show Kasich's name anywhere. The ad never says that all of those votes WILL go to Cruz, but it clearly suggests that they could, which is, again, 100% true. You people and your Dear Leader are really, really reaching to try to find things to complain about.

LOL - but Trump the moron can’t add, obviously. Only a moron would tweet something like this out that is so easily debunked. Only a moron would retweet it. Only a moron would believe it. This is what Trump meant when he said he likes the poorly educated.
