Free trade is part of the problem but so is taxes and regulations.

Bull. Those are the excuses to get stupid "movement" conservatives on board with the program while behind the scenes corporation search the world to find the cheapest slave labor.

the Corrupt West has now produced a greater percentage of severe poverty in its own populations than in India, and an equal percentage of such poverty as exists in Africa.

In the old days we had slaves who lived in absolute poverty (didn’t own anything).

Today, we don’t call them slaves, we call them welfare recipients...otherwise those who love poverty to live a better lifestyle than many of those poor who actually work for a living and who are forced by our government to pay for their lifestyle on welfare.

Here in america POVERTY ensures a home, food, utilities, free medical care, daycare, baby supplies and a utopia of other benefits. Why improve one’s self in order to work when work is totally unnecessary?

“I’m wondering why anyone bothers to work unless he or she can make 50K or more a year.”

My wife and I don’t quite hit 50K but we both work part time because we own home, land, vehicles etc. with no debt and we don’t qualify for all those goodies for free. We probably should liquidate everything and become renters and maybe we could get some freebies.

Two things, first the slaves in this country prior to emancipation consumed a greater PERCENTAGE of their own production than the modern American worker who does not receive government assistance has left of his own wages after ALL taxes are counted.

Secondly it seems strange to me to refer to welfare recipients as slaves, they are more like pampered pets than slaves. They are in fact the opposite of slaves, slaves are forced to work for bare subsistence while welfare recipients do no work and live off the efforts of others. I cannot grasp how people can refer to people who game the system and live well without work as slaves. I have never been a slave but I have done the same work that slaves on Southern plantations used to do, walking behind the plow, cutting wood with an axe and a handsaw, hoeing cotton, picking cotton, milking cows etc. I grew up doing that kind of work, maybe that is why I want to scream when someone refers to a welfare recipient as a “slave”. Words used to have recognizable meanings, now they are flung around as if one will do as well as another.

The destruction of the middle class has been underway for some time now.

They know what they are doing. Gain control of vital aspects of human life such as food and health, and in time you will have control over that life.

The middle class has always been the greatest bulwark against the will of elites, not just in the U.S. but worldwide. Therefore it must be eliminated. But boil the frog slowly, lest it resist.

So we see food prices up by 10% in the last five years, according to the CPI. With the ACA, healthcare costs have doubled in just three.

You want to slowly crush the middle class out of existence? Those two angles of attack will do it right there. Slowly, year after year, the ratchet tightens.

Karl Marx HATED the middle class.
He wanted them DEAD.
He wanted their blood FLOWING in the streets.

You can NOT use Marx’s ideas to help the middle class.

But that’s what we’re trying to do in 2016.

Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama, Elizabeth Warren - they have all kinds of Marxist ideas they want to use.

And you middle class Marxists just can’t wait to vote for these people.

So what do you want me to say?

Republicans never eliminate taxes and regulations and so the strategy never works.

Sad, isn’t it? My favorite show is The First 48 about real life homicide detectives. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen people in the projects who have cars and clothing nicer than I can afford. Not only that, but they are up in the middle of the night, completely dressed and wandering about. Obviously, nobody has to go to work the next morning.
