When it is a choice between gays and Islamists, the leftists will be quick to throw the gays under the bus. The left is right now quiet about such things but as Islam gets more powerful thanks to the ISIS members Obama is importing, such crimes will be commonplace here, and the leftists will have to justify them in their usual loud, self-righteous way. You will hear leftists defend mosques that incite violence against gays but the same leftists will condemn churches that don’t perform gay “marriage” ceremonies.
