IS THE CRUZ CAMPAIGN MORAL?
WND ^ | 4/4/2016 | David Kupelian

Posted on 04/04/2016 8:10:36 PM PDT by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

Here’s a simple question that desperately needs an answer.

Donald Trump won the Arizona primary in a landslide, 47.1 percent to Ted Cruz’s 24.9 percent, giving the GOP front-runner all 58 of that winner-take-all state’s delegates.

Right now, the Cruz campaign is engaged in a “furious” on-the-ground campaign in Arizona – and in other states won by Trump, including Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee – to convert Trump delegates into Cruz delegates on a second ballot, should there be a contested GOP convention this summer.

The question is: Is this moral?

Trump calls it “crooked as hell.” But let’s back up a little.

As the Washington Examiner reported Monday, in a story headlined “Cruz snaring Trump’s Arizona delegates” and posted in the lead position of the Drudge Report:

Sen. Ted Cruz is out-hustling Donald Trump and looks set to ensure many Arizona delegates will defect to him in a convention floor fight.

The Texas senator, who ever since Iowa has played a stealthy ground game in contrast to Trump’s chaotic populism, is taking steps to snatch the Republican presidential nomination from The Donald at the convention in July.

The New York businessman easily won last month’s Arizona primary taking 47 percent to Cruz’s 25 percent, scooping up all 58 of the state’s delegates. That’s nearly 5 percent of the 1,237 Trump needs for the nomination, and they’re tied to him on the first ballot.

But Cruz, exploiting deep opposition to Trump among grass-roots Republicans, has been far more active in Arizona than Trump, insiders say. He’s recruiting candidates for the available 55 delegate slots, that along with the other three delegate positions filled by party leaders, would be allowed to vote for him in a multi-ballot contested convention.

The reality (which you cannot see) is that we are simply patriots who believe that America and its Republic is worth fighting for—and that is what we are doing —AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO.

Oh what a wonderful patriot you are. Fighting for the constitution by placing foreign born ineligible first term senator with zero leadership skills in the White House.

You Cruzers are nothing more then the insane Bushbots that gave us W in 2000 over the vastly more conservative and vastly brighter Steve Forbes. A President Cruz would make W look good.

Admit it you love the GOPe, you must love the GOPe because Cruz is owned lock stock and barrel by the anti-American globalist GOPe. Cruzs' wife Heidi help write the CRF plan to turn the republic of the USA into the North American Union. So stop with your fighting to save the republic crap. If actually believed that you'd be supporting Trump.

Cruz supported the globalist TPA/TPP which gives away American sovereignty, how is that fighting for our constitutional republic?

Cruz supported legalization for those illegaly here in the USA, how is that fighting for our constitutional republic?

Cruz supported reauthorizing the Patriot Act, how is that fighting for our constitutional republic?

Cruz opposes punishing China for currency manipulation that sent thousands of our factories and millions of our jobs to China, how is that fighting for our constitutional republic?

Right now it is election time so Ted will say anything, do anything, lie, cheat, and steal to win the election after that it back to same old, same old. Anyone looking for real change, anyone fighting to keep the USA the USA is voting Trump. There is a reason the entire political class along with its' media whores are attacking Trump not Cruz 24/7.

Don't believe me well just look at who is backing Cruz:Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Gram, Paul Ryan, Carly Fiorina, Nicky Haley, Mitch McConnell, Golden Sachs, The Club for Growth and the entire globalist GOPe. Every RINO on the planet sans John McCain.

Compare that to who's backing Trump:Sarah Palin, Jeff Session, Ben Carson, Chris Christy, Steve Forbes, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Rick Scott, Jerry Falwell, Phyllis Schlafly, Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis and Lou Dobbs.

Ted sCruz is your typical GOPe power hungry scumbag.

He worked for Bush, recieves money from 4 of the GOPE’S largest donors, his campagn staff is loaded with former Jeb Bush campaign staff including Neil Bush.

If thats not enough look at who supports him, ALL liberal republicans, and Glenn Beck

If you are a Trump supporter and your state votes for Trump that entitles you to a slate of delegates that will give you first bite of the convention apple. Nothing more.

If Cruz wins because he won at playing this delegate game, I will not view him as the legitimate nominee. He may be the legal nominee, but he won't be the legitimate one.

Is your candidate, a thrice married, oft adulterous man, moral?

Are we really back to electing the national pastor? I thought we got past that a few months ago for the simple reason that Trump cannot wave the morality flag in front of anyone.

Cruz voted to allow the vote on ObamaTRADE because
he was PAID OFF, because of HIS WIFE, and because
it was SECRET.

Horndog Cruz has NO morality, and is now tied
with Obama for lies, and his wife is tied
with Hillary (demanding to be a coPresident).

Cruz does talk issues, you just don’t hear him.

He is sort of hard to listen to. He is as exciting as Melba toast.

The man that brings issues to the table is Trump (and Sen. Jeff Sessions). Thankfully, someone is doing it.

You get the economy rolling by getting government out of the way. Cruz understands that to his core

One has proven he can actually get results.

As a pure point of definition, were the trump votes overwhelming we would not be having this conversation.

When he (Cruz) stood there filibustering on Obamacare that didn't look like corruption to me

When Cruz did that, I really believed he wanted to accomplish things. But he hasn't, except for trade deals where he was either played or complicit. We still have Common Core and we still have Obamacare. And now Cruz is making deals that don't move us toward unraveling that. Besides that, we have the Freedom Caucus, an impressive array of mostly newly elected Constitutional Conservatives who've been compromised by agreeing to Ryan as Speaker and not at least condemning Ryan for dealing with the devil, so to speak. We have a Republican majority in the US Senate.

What has Cruz done to use those factors to our advantage? Instead, he seems to be accepting donations and support from DC pols and globalist scum.

LOL! Typical faux "conservative":

The win is the enemy of The Perfect.

Don't look now, but The Perfect has got so many warts on it that it will elect Hillary or her replacement in a heartbeat.

This is interesting because a large portion of Trump’s appeal is his “smarts” which will bring about better government and better trade deals.

So True, he seems to have not done his due diligence before entering into negotiation for the current position and will now try to bully his way in.

He will find that becoming President doesn’t work that way.

If he can’t close this deal.... It’s on him.

Was it “moral” for Trump to buy favors from politicians....like Hillary? Schumer? Reid? etc.? Or is that “just the way business gets done”?

...”Regardless of whom you support for the GOP presidential nomination, ask yourself whether what Trump is doing is moral or “sleazy”? There doesn’t seem to be any question that it’s legal.

No. It is not moral. But Trump is supposed to be a “moral, Bible believing Christian Conservative” with great, big beautiful, NY values (or so he says). How can Trump supporters cheer sleazy moves like this???

Fun, huh?
