No doubt about that, but it’s still a long shot.

The thing is that I don’t think many people inthe conservative army have much clarity. Hillary will be heavily favored to win in 2016. She will probably beat any Republican, some worse than others. I think Cruz in particular would become her hapless human pinata.

In fact, I think Bernie would beat him like a drum. He has several significant defects in his presentation that make him a bit of a pill for Republican voters to support, let alone Independents and a few wayward democrats.

I think Trump is the best bet to turn some democrat voters into GOP voters. the 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012 playbooks are severely defective. Recycling them once again for 2016 (and 2020 for that matter) won’t work.

But what do I know? I work with wall to wall liberals and they smirk and laugh at the prospect of a Cruz candidacy, while Trump just gets them angry. They think Cruz is a pushover who won’t sell. They think Trump is a nuisance who is tough enough for some hits to get through. But then again, what do they know?

Ohio Gov. John Kasich takes third with 24 percent, but the Quinnipiac poll also shows Kasich as the lone Republican to top Clinton or Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., in hypothetical general election matchups.

OVER 100,000 DEMOCRAT VOTERS SWITCH PARTIES IN PENNSYLVANIA — To Vote Trump

I still don't get how when Dems switch to vote for Trump, it's great victory and sign of electoral landslide in November, but when Dems (theoretically) switch to vote for Cruz, it's Operation Chaos and Dems mucking up with our primary to elect someone they can beat.

I quoted the exit polls correctly, in response to someone who conflated numbers in them incorrectly.

Why do the Trumpers call crossovers for Cruz “malicious,” but say that when Dems cross over to vote for Trump it’s a sign of how Trump will expand the GOP voter base?

“Since the electable ones always lose, we may as well vote for the ones we like.”

Perhaps if the conservative voters would show up and vote for the ‘electable one’s instead of staying home indulging their third party fantasies...

First of all, I think we have to make a distinction between primary crossover voters and general election crossover voters. they're entirely different creatures with different motivations.

I think they're all mostly just crossing over to cause chaos. The outcome they desire is protracted chaos and that's what their actions are causing. keeping Kasich in the fight certainly kept our inter-party war going strong. Now the name of the game will be to prevent either candidate from getting to 1,237 votes so the fun can continue at the convention.

Too conspiratorial. If there was a big enough movement of crossovers gearing themselves to sway the election for the purpose of causing chaos, we would see evidence of their communication. It just doesn’t exist.

Kasich won his home state as a sitting governor. Doesn’t take a conspiracy to cause that. Even Mondale won his home state in 1984.

Yeah shoot the messenger Fox news and every other poll. Trump insulting woman has crushed him. He’s done a great job of insulting 52% of the electorate.

Crossover' vote shocks officials in Ohio

watch the video.

This is common practice here in Ohio. My mother was an Ohio democrat. She would crossover to cause chaos when it was strategically useful to do so. this is nothing new.

If Cruz is behind Trump in PA, how is it Cruz could beat Bernie or Hillary.

Cruznicks haven’t a lick of sense.

The only person the Democrats worry about is Trump. He will take some of their votes.

Cruz? hah, not so much.

That is the same reason Cruz won WI. Only 5% of the people in WI listed illegal immigration as important to them. They said they “need” more migrant workers to work their farms.

Plus, Cruz had the advantage of being from neighboring Canada.

What’s not to get ? Trump’s positions on trade and lowering taxes on businesses and working class people to reinvigorate American industry should be very attractive to blue collar Dems. What is Cruz promising them that they would cross over for policy reasons rather than Chaos reasons ?

Cruz is a decent, moral, honest man up against options Hillary or Trump. Some Democrats with conscience will vote for him on that personal basis.
