Ted Cruz Tries, Fails to Explain ‘New York Values’ to Actual New Yorkers
NY Mag ^ | 7 Apr 16 | Claire Landsbaum

Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.

Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State — Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best — and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

No the kids are too old. the poor high school kids looked bored out of their minds being used as props.
They look like they would rather be in Math for the next two hours than attend this gym rally.

If cRuz doesn’t care for NY values, he should stay out of NY.

Allocation method: proportional (but with majority winner-take-all trigger statewide and at the congressional district level)

I'm sure he will win NY, but I don't think he'll get to 51%.

We'll see.

New York is a closed primary, registered Democrats & Independents will not be allowed to vote for Trump.

New York is not a proportional state. It’s a winner-take-most state.

There is no district in which Trump is not winning, so at this point he takes all 95 delegates.

And Cruz is BEHIND John Kasich.

Right. We all saw the humor/truth in dissing NY only months ago.

Now, it’s a high crime.

“In Texas, Sheila Jackson Lee is one of the most liberal progressive/socialist congress persons sitting in the House. She also was born and raised in none other than Queens, NY. Can’t fix stupid y’all.”

New York City is also the reason why Florida elects commies like Debbie Wasserman-Shultz and Alan Grayson. It’s a cancerous boil that metastasizes and spreads disease to other healthy members of the body politic.

“He needs to stop doubling down on this.”

Agreed, and a New York-style (straightforward) apology would have been a good move, initially.

You can learn a lot about a person by watching him dig himself out of a self-dug hole.

“I don’t know what delusions or drugs this man is on , but he is talking about CO and how he win the 6 delegates.
Good grief.
Now ND he is stating how he won this state too.

WOW.”

Looks like you and Deceptive Donnie are late to the party. Yes. He is taking delegates left and right that Donnie didn’t even know were there.

Ooops...

You do realize he was businessman wanting to get permits passed in NYC? Oh yeah, you know how to become a billionaire without bribing like Goldman Sachs bribes Cruz’s wife.

Pray America wakes

A bible toting Texan calling everyone in NY a sinner wasn’t a good plan? Wow, who knew?

Let's hope he comes out against California Values this week.

I'm betting that won't happen. LOL.

While I am not a huge fan of Ted Cruz I contend that a broken clock is right twice a day. The Bronx and most of New York City is a hell hole where there is no respect for human life. With all the slashings, shootings, beatings, etc. People in the Bronx had the nerve to get snippy with Cruz. He is right and they just do not like it.

And Cruz has gotten less then 20 percent and 15 percent of the delegates. I’ll take trump who has better stats.

New York Values -

Exhibit A:

"Yes, it's former NYC mayor Rody Giuliani in drag having his "breasts" shamelessly violated by "Apprentice" tycoon Donald Trump. "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IrE6FMpai8

Exhibit B:

Trump was building his eponymous empire of hotels, casinos, and high rises in the early 1980s in New York City and Atlantic City. In both places, the construction industry was firmly under the thumb of the mafia.

I dunno about the rest of the Jury - but that's what the phrase "New York Values" brings to my mind when Donald Trump is the topical context.

And New Yorkers have bigger hammers!

They definitely have bigger and more vulgar pie holes. But hey!, NY values! GTFOH!

“even if these were accurate positions, they are from years ago and certainly not reflective of positions today which are shown below”

Positions adopted for convenience shortly before he decided to run for President, you mean.

You do realize he was businessman wanting to get permits passed in NYC?

That explains the donations to Terri McAuliffe, Rahm Emmanuel, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Kirsten Gillibrand, Erskine Bowles, etc. how exactly?
