Trump’s ‘Whining’ Begins To Wear Thin

Trump’s ‘Whining’ Begins To Wear Thin April 6 David Sherfinski.

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign blamed his loss in Wisconsin’s primary Tuesday on “illegal” tactics by chief rival Sen. Ted Cruz, attempting to dismiss his disappointing finish as the result of dirty tricks but instead earning accusations that he’s “whining.”

Mr. Trump and his advisers said Mr. Cruz illegally colluded with a political action committee and is a “Trojan horse” for the GOP establishment — a comment the Texas senator waved aside, saying it was more proof that Mr. Trump is struggling and voters are tiring of his brash approach to politics.

“Donald has no solutions to the problems we’re facing,” Mr. Cruz told reporters Wednesday. “He likes to yell and scream and insult and curse, and his statement last night was consistent with that.”

His post-Wisconsin accusations are just the latest instance of Mr. Trump excusing a poor performance by saying he was done in by dirty deeds. After losing the Iowa caucuses, Mr. Trump accused the Cruz campaign of frightening voters and spreading false rumors that fellow candidate Ben Carson was quitting the race.

The combative approach to a loss is yet another departure from standard political practice, said Rick Hasen, a political scientist at the University of California, Irvine School of Law.

“I think Trump is a terrible whiner,” Mr. Hasen said. “He’s always making excuses when he loses as opposed to being a gracious loser, which I think we’ve seen [from] Cruz and Clinton and Sanders and Rubio. Usually they [say] ‘I congratulate my opponent on a hard-fought race’ — that’s a more typical thing that you hear. Not ‘they cheated, it’s not fair, there are too many people running against me’ or anything like that,” Mr. Hasen said.

The less-than-gracious approach to losing has so far....

Regardless of whether Trump's "whining" is warranted or not, it isn't helping him.

Some of the best reactions he's gotten is when he's been gracious in either victory or defeat. I'm not sure why he won't keep doing what works.

Ted Cruz is the constant complainer. He finally got what he deserved in New York. Rudy endorsed Trump today, Peter King put Cruz down, and; the people of NY damn sure cannot stand the smart ass Cruz.

That’s pretty funny. I guess it’s not really up for debate. Still doesn’t help him, though.

It’s quite a subject for a social scientist on how Trumpkins reflexively follow their Dear Leader’s rhetoric such as “Lyin Ted,” or ‘Trojan Horse,” or that Cruz is backed by GOP-e, even if arch conservatives such as Mark Levin, or as Limbaugh called Cruz, the only true and tested conservative in the race and is the legitimate heir to Reagan’s mantle.

Trump is getting mauled by both Hillary and Bernie in the national electorate but no matter what, we have 30%-35% steadfast Trumpkins. Yes, this Hindenburg will meet its fate, until informed people with minds of their own, like those in Wisconsin, will put an end to this Trumpoonery-Buffoonery.

Calling out liars, frauds and crooks in the political class is not PC. Lots of folks are aghast that Trump, or anyone, could be so crass and vulgar. It is not nice to cry “The king has no clothes.” Turns out there are lots of conservative snowflakes.

Lol. Just in time for New England states. You guys are hilarious. Trump is going to have his best month of the campaign. Yes the last two weeks were awful for him and it caused him 38 delegates. Trump got 6 from Wisconsin. But New York will change things. Cruz is getting the hot seat FINALLY

No way for Cruz to win fairly. He isn’t getting what he has so far fairly.

So no, I would not support him if he uses shady tactics to win what he never earned from the voters.

He has had his chance and he has failed. He shoild have won the whole south, but those folks knew better.

I trust their judgment.

I would be in full support of a Trump 3rd party run though.

Nah, I cannot think of a better climate for a 3rd party run than this year!

Best ever.

And just as in '92, the end result would be a Clinton taking the oath of office.

Especially when you're not wearing any yourself.

Cruz needs to get out of the race. There is no way he going to win:

Trump Delegate Count:

752 + 95 (New York) = 847
847 + 100 (Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, Pa., RI) = 947
947 + 10 (Indiana) = 957
957 + 36 (Nebraska) = 993
993 + 34 (West Virginia) = 1027
1027 + 10 (Oregon) = 1037
1037 + 13 (Washington) = 1050
1050 + 100 (California) = 1150
1150 + 51 (New Jersey) = 1201
1201 + 10 (New Mexico) = 1211
1211 + 29 (South Dakota) = 1240

Try to do that with Cruz. Cruz is a Uniparty/GOPe/Bush Family Puppet. At best Cruz owes the UniPary/GOPe/Bush Family big time.

Refuse that Trump Kool-Aid. Levin and Limbaugh both believe Cruz is only real tested and true conservative in the race. Cruz was singlehandedly fighting GOP-e and risking a government shutdown while Trump was doling Trump-Shuttle planeloads of cash to Pelosi, Reid, and Hillary.

Would you support Cruz if he were to win the nomination fair and square?

There is a problem with your question since Cruz can not possibly win fair and square, mathematically impossible, well at least totally improbable.
