Exit Poll: GOP Voters Like Sound of Cruz Presidency Far More than Trump or Kasich Ones
Weekly Standard ^ | 4/7/16 | Jeffrey H. Anderson

Exit polling from the Wisconsin primary shed some light on which of the three remaining GOP candidates might have the best chance of uniting the Republican party going into November. Voters were asked about their "feelings" if Donald Trump, John Kasich, or Ted Cruz were elected as president.

In response, 41 percent said they would be "excited" or "optimistic" if Trump were elected, while 58 percent said they would be "concerned" or "scared"—for a net score of minus-17 points (41 percent excited/optimistic to 58 percent concerned/scared).

-snip-

Finally, 60 percent said they would be "excited" or "optimistic" if Cruz were elected, while 37 percent said they would be "concerned" or "scared"—for a net score of +23 points.

That is a 40-point swing from Trump to Cruz

Then I guess the results of the primary in New York doesn’t matter either right?

Thank you!

I watched his Rally last night.

Awesome.

I am so happy Mr. Trump is HOME in NYC.

I read the he cancelled a trip to CA (GOOD) to stay in NY to campaign!

CA can wait. Only 5 large areas he needs to hit hard and to buy TV ads.

I know CA very well.

Cruz has YUGE negatives.

He is very unlikeable.

Even the cover of TIME mentions it.

IIRC, TIME cover says “Likeable enough?”

or “Too Unlikeable?”

I don’t believe the polls that reportedly say that 73% of women don’t like Trump, because Trump Rallies are at least 50% women and I’ve been to one Trump Rally with attendance of over 15,000.

YES! SMILING!

It was a YUGE SMACK DOWN for that horrid Haley Barbour, our Governor Bryant and the whole Mississippi GOP, all of whom and all of which endorsed Cru.

WE the People went for TRUMP and now there’s a stupid fraudulent cBS Poll that says TRUMP would only beat Hillary by 2 points in Mississippi! LOLOLOLOLOL.

Our GOP here is corrupt against Trump.

I have signs!

More from the Bill Kristol, neo-con website. LOL!

They and the Conservative Review are a two-man pony show for the Anti-TRUMP/Cartel Cruz/Karl Rove/Establishment crowd.

I would think that a state where Cruz won by double digits would prefer Trump, right?

“weekly standard , national review

sigh”

Note to Albion Wilde:

Theese websites are often, if not always, propagandists with a slant on one candidate or another (usually anti-Donald Trump). So maybe we should annotate them like the so-called “Macedonian Pro-Trump Websites!”

Trump is view negatively by 70% of Americans and 50% of Republicans, and his favorability rating is getting worse not better! Trump is unelectable in a general election and good conservatives down ballot will be taken out along with him (not that Trump cares about that since he seems to have great disdain for conservatives).

they’re just accustomed to the Lyin’ Ted level of political leadership with Priebus and Ryan, and since his aborted Potus run, Walker’s popularity in WI is below 40%, one of the lowest in the nation.

Trump or Cruz will get my vote over Clinton. I am curious though, I keep hearing about “Lyin Ted”, what did he lie about specifically?

Yet, Trump’s unfavorable a are higher than Cruz’s. A new poll out today has it at 70%, including 50% of a Republican voters. Cruz is a 59%, and Hillary is at 55%. Trump is more unlikeable than Cruz. Most people won’t vote for someone who refers to women as “pieces of ass.”

The Weekly Standard.

Again.

Can’t seem to comprehend that Trump is outpolling Cruz almost everywhere.
