I’ve already stated that Cruz has lost it fair and square and should step aside for the sake of the country. If his continued efforts at thievery split and destroy the party, we’ll be saddled by Hillary or burned by Bernie.

From Cruz’s point of view, nothing worse could happen to the USA than for it to get a President Trump.

Ted could be a player in the scene to the good for years to come, but his attitude seems wrong to me to be President. Not as a Dominionist so devout that it even crosses theological lines into the Mormon belief system. That is a troubled, confused system at best with a lot of just plain wrong stuff in it. But they both believe in a kind of theocratic right. That never worked in a Christian context; that only dumbed down the church while whitewashing the state.

And the GOPe will lose either the House or the senate and maybe both.

They do not care Jim. Like Trump said, they are doing this because they dont like the thought of losing their cabal.

And to think that Cruz railed against that very thing! That is what has be miffed.

Exactly right. It's already gone too far, probably.

Continued efforts. Thievery. Split. Destroy Party. Ted Cruz, the GOPe, the Establishment at large, the Mass Media, and the Left; what a nice big happy Trump-hating, Trump-supporter-hating, corruption-preserving family, all lined up against the one candidate who wants to breakup the DC cartel and lead the country into a new era of prosperity, accountability, and integrity.

Everyone else just wants to go along to get along, and that's the crowd Ted Cruz is running with now. Even if Cruz could get elected with his ridiculously narrow demographic appeal, he'd never turn against the GOPe backers who he is now beholden to.

If Ted Cruz is the nominee, win or lose, the DC status quo STAYS, just like it would with Hillary. The corruption STAYS. The GOPe power structure STAYS. The payback to donors STAYS. TPA, TPP, Common Core, 0bamacare, and their ilk all STAY. And nothing changes...

That’s what it all boils down to.

There is the threat of Hillary/Bernie, or...

There is also the threat of the RNC/GOPe shoving Ted aside and installing one of their own.

Romney, Ryan, Kasick, Rubio... we just don’t know what will take place at the convention in this atmosphere.

Seeking an open convention, is tantamount to handing the nation’s future over to people who have openly expressed a desire to see Hillary elected rather than Trump.

How any good Conservative can support the goal of an open convention, knowing what we know, is beyond me.

I am left thinking that folks who want an open convention can only be RNC/GOPe fellow travelers.

I hate to say it because I once held some folks in high esteem that now are openly fronting for exactly what the RNC/GOPe has been wanting for months.

This asinine position, totally at odds with the purpose and promise of this formerly great website is it for me.

I’m outta here for good. It was really great while it lasted, but I’m not on board for the transition to statism or cultism.

We are going to have a democrat regardless. Since its highly unlikely that cruz and trump voters will cross lines to support the nominee. And there has been so much hatred from the Trump team that Pissed Cruz supporters off so bad they might stay home and watch TV than vote for trump. And Trump Supporters are cult like and wont vote for Cruz. So, there you have it.
But its funny that everytime a Clinton runs for POTUS there comes a millionaire who splits the GOP ticket. Maybe The Donald will get some sweetheart tax break and turn the state of Iowa into one massive casino.

Yep. If Cruz keeps doing what he’s doing, we’ll have the fellow who didn’t want to be Speaker of the House, but was
“forced into in”, will be forced into the president’s Whitehouse.
Sorry for the long sentence.

If it wasn’t for you.

Could not believe Rush’s comments today on Colorado. I don’t care what color your horse is, you cannot condone this delegate buying scheme. We’ve learned nothing from 2005 to 2008.
